I think the lad has the potential and some said the same about Woods when he was at the Shrews. For a club like ours not wanting to spend a fortune we have to gamble on players earlier in their career.

Exactly, they won't be happy. Pissing off Oxford fans would be a bonus.

I think we are going to need to shell out on a ready made replacement for a change. I love our usual approach but January isn't the time to bring players in and improve them, that's a pre season job. Come January we are going to need players for the here and now.

Agree with Danny, any signings need to be for the here and now with a good chance of going straight into the first 11. Ledson wouldnt be that type of signing.

I doubt we would break the bank to get Woods.

There was a time and a place to sign the likes of Clucas, Coady and Woods. That was when we were in League 1 giving daft contracts to the likes of Baxter, Wallace etc.

Jake Wright. May have been a lot easier to prize from the club but he few Oxford Fans I know were absolutely gutted to lose him
