It said on BBC websitre that France was still on trial at Wednesday but had received two firm offers from un-named clubs. Whats he like? Think he's from Sheffield?

Owls face competition for France
Sheffield Wednesday face competition for the signature of Ryan France.
The former Hull City midfielder, 28, has impressed while on trial with the Owls, but has been offered contracts at least two unnamed clubs.
"We haven't offered him anything at the moment, but he (France) is hoping that we do," Owls manager Brian Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"We are doing everything we can, so I should have an answer for Ryan by the end of the week."

He seems a solid player. I'd like to sign him just to piss the porkers off @ S6.
I wouldn't really be bothered to be honest.
I'd be pleased if we signed him, but not the end of the world if we don't.

Just got a text from my friend who knows Ryan France, who has just texted her saying he's signed for us. I'm guessing he will be unveiled or something tomorrow. Just thought I'd tell ya

Good old Wednesday... Championing a player, building him up... then when he wants to sign for someone else instead.... "He was okay, but his knee's shagged so we didn't really want him anyway, even though we offered him a contract".

Last minute of injury time in a 0-0 local derby.. the ball falls to France and ...
TBH I've no idea if he's a good player or not but it's an amazing and inspired signing just for winding the pigs up. All the pigs I know are fuming. They have a new villain. I've had such a good day laughing at pig fans. Porktalk is hilarious. :thumbup:

Can't say I'm overly inspired, with the other clubs interested being Wednesday and Tranmere, but he's versatile so should provide good squad cover.
Not really the type of signing for a promotion chasing side in my opinion. I hope he does well though, of course.

Ha, fantastic. I think he played most of his games in Malta didn't he? So it looks like the ultimate irony is Lee Dude thought he'd get one over on us by visiting Malta and it all backfired a bit because the only thing he actually achieved was to make it easier for us to scout his trialists.
