A statty statistician fella predicts 88 pts will be enough for which Norwich will win the league. We'll finish 2nd on 86.

Fancy WBA run in more but our 4 point lead is critical.Reckon we will finish on 87 with Leeds on 87.

Final table for me:

Norwich
Blades
Leeds
WBA
Boro
Bristol City

If we get to that last 5 games still in the hunt then i'll truly believe we can do it as no reason we couldn't get maximum points from those.

We've got a tough run until then but if we could get 11/12 from the next 7 then we're right in the hunt still.

I'll be amazed if the winner of the league has less than 90 points. 90 is where I reckon we'll finish, but I don't think we'll win the league

Looks tough to me, some very tricky away games. One game at a time and see where we are after Birmingham away.

I’d put Norwich as clear favourites to win the league, their performances have been consistently good like ours.
Believe we have a great chance of finishing 2nd.

I’d say West Brom are the main danger. If they click then I believe they are better than us and Norwich
But fortunately their manager can’t seem to find the blend, so their performances are inconsistent.

Leeds performances have been consistent, since Christsma they’ve not impressed. Still think they’ll make the play-offs tho.

wow the pigs could really do us a favour come 13th/19th april, let's hope they hit some form then :D

Anybody can beat anybody, on their given day, in this league, however I have to say that Norwich look to have the easiest run in there.

Agree regarding WBA. Norwich's run in looks the easiest and you can see WBA picking up at least 8 wins from their fixtures

I reckon we will finish 3rd behind those two ( but we will get promoted via the play offs)

Excited and dreading it in equal measures. It's going to the wire I feel. A prediction league prior to West Brom (which I had us to lose) had us winning the league on GD 89 pts over Norwich. However I think the top 5 were only separated by about 4 points.

I've said all along lets just enjoy the ride. (well as much a we can.)

WBA home form is currently shocking to say where they are in the league, if they don't fix that then it could put a dint in their hopes.

Interestingly all 4 have to play Millwall. Norwich and WBA have them away which won't be easy.

Us and West Brom have Ipswich and Rotherham as our last home games. Hopefully Ipswich will already be down, Rotherham could be fighting for their lives.

Preston and Birmingham away look very tricky indeed. Bristol City at home is a biggie n'all. I think we'll beat Leeds.

8 wins and 2 draws from 12 games will be enough. Easy.

I'm not going to get into who ought to get what, I think that sets up expectations.

What I would be interested to know is what the average league position is for the teams faced in the run-in, for each of those 4, if that makes sense?

Can someone work that out? Ta.

West Brom's run in is tough considering how shit they are at home and good they are away.

They've got some toughies away but a few terrible travellers at the Hawthornes.

The classically approved method of making sure that we have more points than the team in third position should be enough for most people.

Once that's accepted we can look forward to promotion.

I'd break it down into 3 main factors for the run in.

Squad quality and fitness
Form
Fixtures

Norwich have the best overall 'score' there. The fixtures make sure of that.
Then West Brom.
Then us marginally behind.
Then Leeds.

We have a current 4 point advantage over West Brom so our chances appear good.

One conclusion I can't avoid is that Leeds have a big uphill battle to get in the top 2. Which is a shame as I want them to go up with us

The only thing that’s predictable is that they’ll be a few unexpected results. It’s a mental thing as much as physical now. Teams that have played shit will find a little extra, especially those that are ‘underachieving’. No one wants to play in L1. Teams at the top will get nervous, so near but so far.
