Yeah Hull are a terrible side, they had a few chances that came to nothing but otherwise, from a Hull fans pov, very little to get excited about.

That being said, Lewis-Potter looks decent, he'll fetch them a few quid in next summer.

We looked steady, I think there's much more to come, but at least we seem to be stabilising

Nervy for me when Hull pulled one back. Then a second ruled out for offside (it wasn't). I wouldn't have put it past us to totally mess it up, but thankfully we didn't.

Can we be honest and unbiased for just a second though.

Hull should have had 2. Tyler Smith was just in line or thereabouts, but regardless of that, the ball came off Egan before getting to Smith 🤷‍♂️
Think that would have been a tense last 15 mins.

We need a bit of luck though, we've had next to none for a while now, albeit that always seems the case when you're bottom of the league!

We could have had more goals ourselves.

Could easily have been 4-2 or even 5-2.

Huh? Egan played it because of Smith's presence. Therefore offside. The fact that he probably wasn't offside is a different question altogether

Hull were piss poor. We did our usual bit of self-destruction for a short while, but overall we dominated with ease.

Football can be about habits as much as performances. We had been a team who had a habit of getting 3 points or 1 point even if we weren't at our best. But the more you do that the more relaxed you can play and confident in your play too.

We are creating chances which is good, we've scored two from a set piece as well. Defensively we need to be better still.
Wasn't particularly free flowing but job done type of performance.

Basham came on and started winning headers.

We haven't been able to get any kind of performance together that gives us something to build on. Every game has been a repeat of the one before it (with a couple of heavy defeats to break the trend). Play okay but with absolutely no goal threat, leak a very soft goal and be dead in the water.

We finally look like leaving that behind us. Last three games we've scored 11. The defence is still a big concern but we've got a foothold to work from now. There's more to come from us up front too with no Ndiaye today, Brewster actually getting shots away, set pieces looking dangerous, possibly more from Berge and the likes of McGoldrick in waiting.

Huge progress made in the last week. Easy win today but the kind of easy win we haven't been able to take for some time.

We are VERY poor defensively and will get undone by better side. I can’t see where a clean sheet is coming from/against and it’s likely we will have to outscore the opposition ( which can do to the majority of teams in this division..which appears poor on quality thus far)

Hulls best spell came when they started kicking our players rather than the ball. We still need to match up to these sides that dish out the shoe, looks like that is why Slav has brought his 35yr old mate in as a bit of an enforcer they quietened down after he laid one on the Hull player a minute after he come on. Need to toughen up this isn't the no contact Premier League.
Smith's goal was never offside it came off Egan last, how can officials get it so wrong? Today's incumbent was as bad for both teams .............. very poor. The game should have been over by then if Billy scores the penalty it would have been 0-4 and not a sniff of a chance for them to get back into it.

One thing we did know about Slav's teams is that it is a bit like Kevin Keegan's Newcastle! In this league with the attacking players we have I think we'll generally score more than the opposition does. I think as we continue our upwards trajectory we'll get more solid, we're still a bit fragile at the minute, probably as a result of the last 18 months.

We looked good going forward at times - but at other times we were really sloppy with our passing. We still look shaky at the back. And their goal should have been a routine clearance for Baldock but for some inexplicable reason he stopped running when he was poised to get to the cross ahead of their attacker.

We deserved to win without doubt - and the result is always the priority - but we can play much better.

Their goal was offside because he was adjudged to be offside when the ball was played to Egan. It was a marginal call but the lino was in the perfect position to judge. That was their only chance of getting anything from the game really and we could have lifted it again if needed. Comfortable win I thought, admittedly against a poor side.

After seeing it on Quest the linesman got it spot on and raised the flag as soon as the pass was made and before Egan mis-controlled it. I wish they would make their minds up not so long ago they were letting moves play out before they pulled it up for offside.

We got the job done and the key thing is that this team is banging the goals in, knowing that we're dodgy at the back and have no means to improve it for the time being.

It's clicking into gear and looking at the standard of the majority of teams in this league, we're more than capable of beating them as long as we keep doing what we're doing, move the ball quickly, play passes forward and keep the defence guessing.

I wouldn't say 'very' poor, and we have had a couple of clean sheets already. We are however quite shaky at times and especially vulnerable to direct physical play, and prone to struggle against a half decent aerial threat. Things do need to improve back there, but I still think we'll cope ok as the season goes on and the new players settle in.

No point without VAR.
