Haha, you’re a funny man Danny. I’ve been through the league one days, these two years would’ve been a piece of piss in comparison, I just value my money more these days.
Here he is another one of the forum Poirots. As I say, you could never understand

Donovan yesterday reminded me so much of Ndiaye. That poor full back will have had a sleepless night after that 15 minutes or so.

But I suspect that if Wilder had been in charge instead of Hecky, we would hardly have seen Ndiaye on the pitch. I can’t know for sure obviously. As someone else said, guaranteed he is too stubborn to start him next week.

By the way I am not a Wilder-outer, just saying what I have seen.

As for BBD, I am not sure what sort of player he has become. He used to run at defenders, cut in, have a shot. Is he told not to?

Honestly yes there is. And it may not be that far off. I wont gloat about us losing though. I won't jump on here as soon as I can to slag him off after every loss. I won't start with the horrible personal abuse. I won't love rubbing it in other people's faces. I won't want us to lose so he goes quicker. I won't just stop going because we're shit and then come back when the tough times are over. I'll be sad because he's given us so much.
I appreciate the honest reply. As a strong advocate for the removal of CW, there is no joy or gloating on my part in the current situation we find ourselves in. To tell the truth I have never been as dejected in the club as a whole in all of my life. At least in the League 1 years we didn't spend half a billion to end up with Brereton Diaz and Hamza as first choice left winger and full back.

Would I love Wilder to turn it around? Of course I would, i'm a big enough boy to eat humble pie. If he had his mojo of Mk1, I would be fully on board.
Do I see it happening? Not at all, the evidence on many fronts is staring us in the face.

I would rather it would not have got to this point at all. The board got it wrong with Selles but that shouldn't stop the club from looking forward to a future without CW.

True about BBD. He seems to be in sideways, backwards, keep the ball rolling, rolling, rolling, club these days.

Problem is these cameo 15 minute rolls are okay, but how will he cope with 90 minutes.

I personally think he is better than that. It could be that his confidence is gone - farmed out on loan constantly , and to be fair, as fans we aren’t forgiving of a mistake or a miscontrol (of which he is very fond!).

Well I'd say it makes their opinion lews relevant. Like how a Man Utd fan who's been going 50 years to watch them. His opinion would be more relevant than mine. Controversial I know but thats my take.
I’m guessing that I’m older than you and have been going to matches for longer than you. I also can’t imagine a scenario, other than emigrating, where I would give up my season ticket and stop attending. Are you saying that makes me a bigger Blade than you or that my opinion is more relevant than yours? Because that isn’t a claim that I would make for myself. I’ve never bought this “bigger Blade” stuff, everyone supports in their own way, there isn’t a set of rules for how it has to be done.

It's a reasonable argument I just don't agree at all. Of course moving away is completely different. Thats not just deciding not to bother because we're rubbish. I make a distinction between people who are there year in year out and the ones who just go when it's the good times. I dont think its controversial to say they are bigger blades. It's just obvious some people are and thats fine.

We have differing opinions on it, but that’s all they are and that, too, is fine.

What I find exhausting is the complete lack of consistency in how these things are discussed.

We have three improved performances on the bounce and the conversation is all about how things are improving. Nobody's claiming it's perfect, there's still plenty to do, but there's progress, Greenhouse needs time, and we need to be patient. Fair enough. That's a perfectly reasonable position to take.

Then we get brought back down to earth, the best player doesn't start after his tame journo has spent the week publishing a bizarre article telling us we don't understand football, and Wilder follows it up with a press conference that somehow manages to suggest we'd all be slagging him off if he'd picked the best player.

And when people quite reasonably start asking questions about the decision-making, the tactics, the performances and why this season has been so consistently awful, suddenly it's all about people being mardy arses, hating Wilder, being ungrateful and not being proper Blades.

It's exhausting. You can't have it both ways. If we're recognising improvement after three better games, we're also allowed to question things when it all falls apart again. You don't get to use patience and perspective as arguments for defending every decision, then dismiss any criticism as proof that someone has an agenda.

Nobody owes the manager unquestioning loyalty. Supporting Sheffield United doesn't mean suspending your critical faculties, and being concerned about what you're watching doesn't make you any less of a Blade.

I'm quite happy to give credit when it's due and after the last 3 it was. I'd just like the same people who demand that everyone acknowledges the past to accept that the negatives are worth discussing too, rather than turning every legitimate criticism into some sort of loyalty test.

To be honest I've realised you aren't one of the absolute anti Wilder hysterics. I know you dont particularly like him and dont rate him which I have no problem. I personally still think he has enough credit and his record is still enough for me to trust him. But I can see the other side. It's always been the obviously glee certain people have at it that I can't comprehend at all.

All of this. But I don’t go to games so I’m not big enough of a Blade to have an opinion that counts and I obviously don’t care enough to want better for my club.

It’s really not. We live in an age where we can be well informed about the club and its direction without spending two hours per week at a football stadium. I happen to think it’s ok to have serious doubts about the leadership at the club and not want to contribute financially to the continuation of that situation without being accused by fellow fans of not caring enough or “being a big enough Blade”.

That may be why he's brought on as a sub, he is a young lad and will probably get targeted by the thugs that masquerade as centre backs in this league.
If it was "We know how good he is. But we think he currently offers us more as an impact sub against tired full backs, and when the game opens up, his pace is devastating. He's not played 50adult matches yet and it's my job to handle his development for both him and us. Butif he keeps this up, he'll force me to change my mind" people might disagree but it's a legitimate line of thinking.
