There's a group on Facebook stating rob earnshaw is currently training with us. Anyone on here seen or heard about this?

Could be his contract was not renewed in Toronto and the rumour was he would return to play in England.

If you look at his twitter, he is definitely back in the UK. I'm sure he will be looking for a club but I don't know whether he and SUFC will be a good match.

He is a good example of the type of strikers we sign, well into their thirties, looking for a last pay day and usually can't score.

Earnshaw obviously could score in the past but I've no idea if he could do it now in L1.

Probably steer clear but of course there may be nothing at all in this.

Tend to agree with UnitedBlade on this. Too often we sign players based on what they did 5 years ago. He was a good striker in his younger days and might be ok now but I'm sick of seeing us gamble on 30+ journeymen that haven't scored a league goal in goodness knows when.

Players with a bit of a name never work for small change either. No thanks, would rather we looked at young lower league strikers.

No we need to stop going for high profile players that cannot cut it anymore.

Doesn't really inspire much, about 10 years too late.

Robert Earnshaw = Abhorrent Swears

I disagree with everyone, look at Kevin Lisbie for Leyton Orient, knocking them in left right and center. 35 years young.

I still think he can score goals at 32 and more likely to at this level.

He still scored a few goals in Toronto and Ryan Nelson didn't want him to go but I reckon with them landing Defoe I guess he did not want to stay.

That said we do have to remember I said similar things when we re-signed Beattie.

I think he'd be a great signing if he's fit. Just the sort of natural goalscorer we need.
32 isn't past it. No harm in giving him a trial and seeing what level he's at.

I think his movement alone would benefit what is an improving midfield

This was a question Alan Biggs put to Nigel Clough as a mock interview question for Hallam university students.

Bizarre but true, Biggs says so on his twitter.

Has mattbianco1 passed this for suitability?

It's as UnitedBlade stated in post #13
All bobbar - Alan Biggs tweeted that he made it up when role playing a mock interview when at Sheff Univ
Some wag - (the mischief making kind rather than the dumb, orange accessory of a Prem footballer) probably thought it a jolly jape to share this news with the World.

Anyway, Earnshaw? No thanks - well past his best before date.
