SHEFFIELD UNITED have taken former Arsenal and West Ham forward Omer Riza on a week’s trial ahead of a possible transfer swoop.

Blades boss Kevin Blackwell is an admirer of Riza, 28, who is available for free after he left Turkish side Trabzonspor following a salary wrangle.
Watford and Leicester are also tracking Riza, who was a £1million Southampton target last summer.
A source close to Riza said: “Omer wants to prove himself in England again and Sheffield United represents an opportunity for him.”
