Along with Beresford he’s one that I was surprised didn’t at any stage play for us. There was probably a window of opportunity when Wilson arrived for him to be a squad member, but perhaps we didn’t want to add any more personnel with Wednesday connections given the reaction Wilson got. The seasons after that he was probably too old for us. The seasons before, not good enough for the level we were at (though he surely would have been of use the year we went down).

Blade 100%. Used to go out with my former next door neighbour's niece many years ago when he first broke through.

They loved it because they were Wendies but he always said he let them know where his allegiance lied away from the job.

Ritchie Humphrey’s is 100% a blade and a really nice fella. He’s one of those blokes that just loves football generally and in particular local football in South York’s & chesterfield.

He made a comment last season about how proud he was to play for Wednesday which I loved. It was along the lines of being really proud to turn out for one of the Sheffield teams as he was a Sheffield lad. Not sure I’d ever go that far, but I get what he means. Must’ve been a fantastic feeling.

On the same note, I saw him after the 2-4 derby and he was loving it commenting on how well we played and how deserved it was.

He came on in the last match of the season too. Showing himself to be a Blade by chipping over an open goal at 2 all to help us on our way to 100 points

Cramped up bad ,but he wasn't the only one was he . He loved it though as did the others ,as did I when I played in 2003.
