Right with the signings of Kilgallon and Stead who's next??

Warnock still has the majority of the cash in hand so he could still buy big.

The Stead one is interesting......by the sound of it Derby played him in a number of positions, even on the wing, and he did well apparantly.

I'd suggest it points to a small fast player again that can score......Earnshaw??

If he won't/don't do you think he will go for Healy?

The rest of the cash on a midfielder........now that is where it seems to get difficult. Earnshaws team mate Etuhu could be a good bet ....strong but shows signs of creativity....according to Norwich fans. They also say he goes missing in games too.

Or Hendrie.......looks more likely to me.

I suppose we will know soon enough.

I'd disagree. Having seen him a few times this season (the missus is a Derby fan and I get dragged along to a few games), I'd say that he's not a particularly good player, either on the wing or in a more central role. His first touch isn't the best, and the number of shots he scuffs beggars belief. Even when he's had the service - when the Rams midfield have been playing well, which does happen sometimes! - he's wasted a woeful number of chances. I'm not dismissing him out of hand, I'm just a bit disappointed that we've gone for a player who's been proven to be not good enough first at Sunderland and then at Derby. Maybe Warnock's seen something in him that I've not - fingers crossed, anyway.

He must've done something right - Davies wanted to buy him!

As far as future purchases go, I'd definitely plump for Earnshaw. Surely we must be able to prize him away from Norwich for £4m?

Midfield. IMO the perfect midfielder for us would be Gattuso. I suppose a sneaky bid is out of the question ;)
Realistically I haven't a clue. I certainly don't know the market as well as Warnock and his scouts, so hopefully he's got something up his sleeve.

It's Warnock's choice in the end. We would all pick different players for all sorts of reasons if we had the chance.

All we can do is support them and see what happens.

What I was trying to put across with him buying Stead how does it now affect his next choice and who will he go for??

A small fast striker would be on the cards, Earnie, Healy? Midifeld seem to be looking like Hendrie if O'Neil doesn't want to keep him, Petrov is out injured and he may want him as back up, not really heard much else.

Ooooh this post takes me to 1889, how sad that I noticed that. Back to watching the telly thinking ugly betty is actually good looking

:D:D:D

Hendrie seems determined to try and win a place at Villa, so that might be a loan for the rest of the season.

Front player? Collins John if the fee is right; Not a Healy fan myself, over-rated after a couple of decent International games; One right out of left field........Robbie Fowler!!

for a front player id opt for earnie or john myself, im not a fan of healey. Did it nor country but not really done much for the club. Not worth the risk at this level IMO

We may not have to wait too long......

Radio Sheffield have said Warnock says he hopes to bring in another today!

Busy times.

I've not been so excited since we landed Chris Guthrie.

:D :D :D

I would go for a quality midfielder personally now.

Reo Coker
Smith
Koumas

From the OS

Warnock, on what happens next:
"Yes, we're looking for another striker and we're hoping to tie up a deal, possibly next week....We have a couple of targets that we want to capture next week and possibly another one even today, maybe tomorrow....Laurent D'Jaffo wants me to take a player on board. We'll probably bring a fringe player in and there's still maybe a player from Europe coming in."

Not sure what to make of all that. Exactly how many more signings is he wanting to make??
Not that I'm complaining, I just can't work out how many players he's on about there.

He also says..........

"The fans come up with names that simply aren't affordable for clubs like ours"

I reckon striker wise we should get either Earnshaw, Healy or Harewood. But I'd put that on ice for the minute as we've got Stead and now I'd like to see us bring in a quality midfielder.

Just been thinking if we did sign Earnshaw we could sing......

TEEEEEEFFFFFF!

:D :D :D

We dont need fringe players at the moment. We want first teamers. We NEED a quality midfielder and a goalscorer.

We have a lot of strikers and i didnt see bring in stead would help. We have Hulse, Nade, Webber, CKR already then we should be buying someone such as earnshaw to make it 5.

We really need a midfielder, tonge is too light in the middle and is not always in the game. My ideal person would be danny murphy, but i dont know about wages etc.

Heard someone mention something about campo from bolton?

I think Stead is a backup for Hulse cos we don't have anyone like him who's going to get in the first team.
Nade, Webber & CKR sort of cover one forward position between them, but that leaves Hulse to do the other alone all the time.
I think it's a good move if this is the case.

bumped into a mate at asda tonight, has alot to do with utd, and he says there announcing the signing of earnshaw tomorro before K.O. dunno how true it is.

Would be well happy with Earnshaw if we can back it up with a decent midfielder.

Finger on the pulse there although you reckon you can get yourself a signed shirt ? :)
