Hello people in Blades land - Salisbury City fan in peace!
Our captain Chris Giles is involved with sending used football kit to places in Africa that don't have the same luxuries as we do in this country. In an effort to raise money
for his charity Kits4Causes he is selling a Sheffield United shirt as worn by Richard Cresswell during our FA Cup third round match in January. The shirt comes along with a
signed program. Here is the details for the ebay listing.
Welcome to the auction of a signed Sheffield United FC vs Salisbury City FC programme and a 'Cresswell' Sheffield United shirt from the FA Cup 3rd round tie on Saturday
7th January 2012.
I am fundraising for a charity project I founded last year called Kits4Causes. Partnering UK based charity Afrikit, we are collecting donations of all old, unused sporting equipment to be re-used on Aids education programmes with Pepaids in Zambia. So far we have collected over 1000 kits from Salisbury City FC, Bath City FC, Yeovil Town FC
and next month we begin collections at Charlton Athletic and Luton.
However, whilst the beauty of the charity includes not asking the public for monetary donations - just old derelict kit in the bottom of your wardrobe or at your local sports club - it has become clear we need some finance to buy large wheelie bins and pay for the deliveries to our headquarters (ironically in Sheffield!).
The programme is signed by all the Salisbury City players that achieved history in making the 3rd round of the FA Cup for the first time in the club's history.
The shirt is the one worn on the day and kindly donated by Richard Cresswell, less the blood and sweat as it has been washed.
Enjoy bidding on a unique item that will serve as a great reminder from Salisbury City FC's biggest cup game to date....
