Sheffield United and Carlisle are both chasing York City striker Richard Brodie, who is joint top-scorer in the Blue Square Premier league with 20 goals so far this season.

He played on loan for my local club, Barrow, in the BSP last season - scored a couple of goals on his debut. Looked like a decent player but York recalled him after a month.

For large parts of their FA cup tie I saw York match and sometimes outplay Stoke. If it weren't for Throwing Man they might have got a draw.

Mind you, you're probably right, hopefully we won't make any more lower league mistakes like Wardy again.
