Solanke is probably looking like a good deal granted 19mil is alot however he has so far 9 goals 6 assists and looks to be 5 mil cheaper than brewster however he really struggled last season in the prem. i think this is the same scenario as brewster. brewster will come good. we just need to have patienceSo Klopp and Howe are better wheeler dealers than us. What a surprise
had a quick look at his history, as seem to remember a couple of decent buys
Brookes (us) £10m
Mings (Ipswich) £10m
Ake (Chelsea) £20m
all worth at least double what he payed out for them - Brookes could be £30m+, Mings £30m+ and Ake has just gone to Citeh for £40m
however
Jordan Ibe (Lpl ) £16m
Solanke (Lpl) £19m
which only goes to prove that the best wheeler dealer is defiantly Jurgen Klopp.
who has raked in nearly £60 million, for Brewster, Ibe and Solanke - legend.
Put Ronaldo up front us and he wouldn't score

But when West Ham got relegated Defoe came into his own in the ChampionshipHe's in the very early stages of his career. He hasn't made a promising start, but I'm not going to write him off based on anything that happens this season.
He could go on to become a Jermaine Defoe type player if he works hard. A career at the top level scoring goals. The wrong type of player for where we are at though.
How is it?Possibly the worst highlights reel I've ever seen
Agreed - he's going nowhere. He will want to out himself in the shop window to get in to he Prem via eithe transfer or promotion. How exactly are we going to do that ?
If he scores goals in the Championship then there might be takers at a realistic price
We will get FA for him at the moment compared to what we have invested
Because one of the highlights is a slide tackle followed by a 5 yard pass, hardly Ballon d'Or standardHow is it?

He scored some good goals in that videoBecause one of the highlights is a slide tackle followed by a 5 yard pass, hardly Ballon d'Or standard
He didn't.Our corner flag probably cost us nothing because Jamie Vardy bought it
The lad is only 20, this is the first real graft he's had to put in. Think he will be fine next season in the Champ if we can start providing service for him.
He and Moose have, on paper, all the makings of a really dangerous partnership. If they apply themselves.
I think he’s been our worst striker so far closely followed by Mousset. Liverpool have had our pants down.Agreed, does anyone agree that he is gradually improving the more game time he has? I thought he was much improved at Burnley and Palace. Like any youngster needs time - we have given that to other players e.g. Berge
TBF many people on this site were saying that Berge was crap and a waste of money after half a dozen games. I'm not sure whether or not Brewster is the real deal, but I'm sure now is not the time to make a final judgement on his abilities.Agreed, does anyone agree that he is gradually improving the more game time he has? Ofcourse you can. how can you not? Brewster is going to struggle in the prem as did solanke but will come into their own in the championshipSolanke has struggled every season in the prem.
You can't possibly compare the two.
Well one is in only his second season....solanke was bought by Liverpool 4 years ago.Ofcourse you can. how can you not? Brewster is going to struggle in the prem as did solanke but will come into their own in the championship
he's not spent 4 season in the championship tho has he. His first full season where he started most games was at bournemouth that being last season where he struggledWell one is in only his second season....solanke was bought by Liverpool 4 years ago.
4 seasons to get 9 goals in the championship and become 'established'.... whereas brewster has basically had half a season in the championship 4 years younger and scored more.
Also solanke was playing in a much more competitive team at Bournemouth and only scored once they were down....twice?
No idea how good this actually is but it's better than I thought it would be.
our midfield is the area thats gonna cost us our premier league place complete overall in the summer i hopeBrewster has shown little flashes of his ability but we need more from him. he needs to be up on the forward line looking to get on the ball in the final third, not dropping into midfield. But that is dependent on our midfield supplying him and whoever is up front. People who expected him to come in and go on a scoring spree were somewhat deluded. His price tag is what you pay for a very promising young English player and that is what we have got. Yes he needs to be involved more, work hard and get into the positions a goal scorer gets into, and that’s why I would start him every game. Chelsea, Liverpool and the England set up can’t all be wrong about him, surely. It’s probably been a bit of a culture shock coming in and seeing us struggle this season and along with the other forwards, he probably expects more crosses and passes into the box instead of us fannying about with the ball near the corner flag. I’m sure he will come good given more playing time.
Non-penalty expected goals and expected assists for top five league players born 2000 or later. What's that chart telling me?
