But they were apparently the only ones offering a perm, according to Uncle Al as we could only afford a Loan.
When the Palace chairman blew this out the water, he still claimed they were signing him and we were falling away, again due to only affording a loan.
Only on Sunday he still had them in front to sign him.
So they've been favorites to sign him for weeks, probably months, offering more money (around £10M more than we are) yet can't agree terms?

OR......Alan is talking bollocks on this one and has got it wrong at pretty much every turn, right up until to point where we've clearly got it in the bag.

The only official noise from Palace throughout has been that they haven't even made a bid, yet Alan has been consistently changing his position more often than Ron Jeremy at the Playboy mansion. The logic of his updates do not hold water, rather similarly to Bikini Bottom.

Nixon reported that we were willing the buy before anyone else.
He also reported that Palace wanted to buy and it is commonly reported that the reason they have failed to take it further is because of the buy back clause.

People like to slag him, whether that's because they take the piss without ever reading what he says, or just for cheap laughs on here, but he has so far seemingly got things spot on with this story.

This isn't true though is it? He didn't say we were in to buy before anyone else. Even I said it wouldn't be a loan before he did, and I haven't spoken to anyone at the club.
After he even suggested it, he then went back to loan only for us hence why everyone and their mum was ahead of us.
He's got it wrong at every turn, and is now only calling it for us at the very last minute when it's clear the deal is done and that's clear from just reading this thread.
Only a week ago we couldn't afford it, and yet we continued to talk to him and found £20M down the back of the sofa. He's been way off this from the start.

Unless you want to bury your head in the sand of course and continue to wave his flag regardless of the actual facts, but you're only kidding yourself.
