On those figures Reguilon's buy back would be 108% of the initial fee.
£37m buyback on an initial £25m would be a 48% increase.
108% is a lot different to 48%.

At £19m initial fee it's a 195% of the initial fee. Reguilon is, as you say 208% of the initial fee, not massively different in my book % wise.

So if he class you make 12 mill thats wank on the sell back

Don’t know what people are complaining about the buy back

A 12m profit would still be one of our best ever sales figures wouldn’t it. More than we got for brooks for example.

Don’t see that as an issue at all.

In addition - we haven't sold anyone and only got small wages off the payroll by way of releasing players.

I think spending £40m in 8 months is showing ambition considering this and the COVID 19 impact.

I remember when we first got promoted.
Many of the doom mongerers were saying we’ll never spend more than 10 million on a single player because we will lack amnotion.
We’re in the middle of a virus meaning a massive reduction in income and we still spend nearly 20 million on one of England top young prospects.

Having first refusal if Palace want to sell isn’t the same as a buy back when Liverpool want to buy is it?

Interesting. I suppose there would be a time limit on the clause, otherwise what's the point for Palace?

6 months after spending £20m on one of Europe's top young prospects...

Well I’m happy we haven’t spent loads of money on him.
For 15mil or cheaper then yeah I think he would have been worth a punt but not at 25mil.
in the end he’s had half a season at Swansea albeit a successful one (mcburnie was successful) and that’s it really. Some saying Brewster is one of England’s hottest prospects. On what evidence. Liverpool would not release a player like that.
In the future if we are minted then yeah 25mil gambles can be had. But no now.

People seem to forget that the budget was already depleted before Covid because of it being used to help fund Sander... which to me at the time was a fair gamble.

we were never going to have the funds Liverpool want.

Flash floods forecast in Sheffield. Amber weather warning.

if this lad goes to palace and we don’t win by at least 4 clear goals and snap grealish in half the bed wetters will be out in full force and this forum will be unbearable tonight.

how people can seriously criticise wilder and the board is beyond me. The same management team that’s taken us from bottom half league one to a top half premier league finish in 4 seasons. The same owner that personally guaranteed the McBurnie deal, the same owner that freed up funds to allow us to bring in one of Europe’s most promising young midfielders, the same owner that’s worked to re-attach the stadium and facilities to the club we love.

get a fucking grip.

the window doesn’t close with this lad, Wilder and Bettis will have a list of forwards as long as my arm they’re working on.

Have we signed a striker.....no, so at the moment, we have failed to achieve CW's objective.
We have turned into a team that plays direct football alot of the time. Is this a probelm for some players ?.......Troy Deeney incoming ? 😁

The only time we are direct as default is from goalkeeper. Which is sensible given how teams press.

All chances created v Wolves were from our usual footballing game.

I’ll tell you what baffles me is why we have kept in this chase for as long as we have....

the word has always be Liverpool are likely to sell to pay for outgoings, there has always been serious / semi serious interest from lots of PL clubs. How did we think we were going to pull this off for substantially less than £19m - that never looked likely in this climate when oli Watkins of going for 28m.

We must have know what the rough cost would be. So We are either preparing to match the bid or we have wasted months on this when we could have been perusing other targets??
