If we lose to Villa tonight this will need editing to show some brain splatter.

I'm now looking forward to our lads banging a couple in tonight and then I can start a new thread on how we don't need to sign anyone![]()
You're making intelligent use of critical thinking. For all we know, we could’ve bid too, but Sky’s “sources” may not have heard about it yet. Or am I just optimistic?
We haven't failed just because there's a new story in the media! Three weeks before window closes!Wilders number 1 target was to strengthen in the final third, he said we definitely needed more up top, we have failed to do that, (apart from a low cost gamble in Burke).
Coupled with no more creativity added in a flat midfield it is difficult to see where the goals are going to come from.
Hoof and hope it is then.....
Very true, except for the Liverpool players already ahead of him in the hierarchy. But if they don't see him being able to step up into their squad to score goals against the same opposition that we'll be facing, is it not a bit of a risk that he wouldn't be able to do that for us, with a reduced number of chances (given our relative chance creation compared to Liverpool's)?
Failed? Did the window shut this morning?Wilders number 1 target was to strengthen in the final third, he said we definitely needed more up top, we have failed to do that, (apart from a low cost gamble in Burke).

You were presented with facts, what facts do you have to show we are lacking ambition? We have stop glossing over
Even he’s toopi now adaysT'owd Jaunpi, could he do a job?
If we're only after a loan then so be it, but if we have money but we can't stretch to the £25m, like others have said, get grant from Huddersfield for £10m less.
TitsI think we need to step back and be a bit more positive about things.
Yes Palace have made an offer, but that offer hasn't been accepted yet, which means that we still have time to reach 200 pages! Which is of course the most important thing here.

YOU'RE A WITCH
In all honesty, a buy back of 37 million when there's that much initial outlay is dogshit anyway.
Its only an opportunity missed if we could have afforded the deal and it fit into our model. Which it clearly didn't.
Spoke to someone slightly ITK last night and he said Wilder had put 11 of his dozen eggs in the Brewster basketThe deal is dead, we have dragged our heals, I'm sure cw has other irons in the fore, and whose to say they won't turn out better than Brewster.
Reguilon has just joined Spurs for a reported £12m with a £25m buy back so it's not that much different.
Agree...doubt those figures are right.
Liverpool can’t lose...for Palace it’s a high risk...low profit investment deal...doesn't make sense.
I do think people often forget that we were told that Berge was to be a summer transfer target and that budget was used in January (aided by the fact that we were looking assured to stay up as well).Agreed - I think we were hoping to persuade them to loan him out.
It’s not my money (the prince can do as he sees fit) and I’m glad we aren’t going to be put in a position of risk if we go down or similar. It’s just we have been flexible when we have sensed an opportunity previously - see bringing berge in on the Jan window.
For me though, for £19m - the chance to bring in a highly rated talent who’s shown what he can do in the league below, in a position of need (especially as we still have whatever we bid for swift left over) seemed like a risk worth taking.
he might flop at palace but the chance to bring someone like that in doesn’t come along often. We may live to regret not getting him in whilst the chance was there. It’s not like they were asking a club record fee
Brewster best sign for his own safety! Being a Yorkshire lad I am pretty sure wasting 11 eggs will not sit right with himSpoke to someone slightly ITK last night and he said Wilder had put 11 of his dozen eggs in the Brewster basket![]()
