The idea that the premier league champions, 6 time European champions and world wide name of Liverpool football club need to sell any players is absolute bollocks.
Same with a buy back clause, it is laughable, when they make the signings they do. When Liverpool come knocking a measly 20m on top of original fee (if he is unbelievable) won’t break their bank.

Bertrand Traore now signed from Lyon for Villa for 17 million completing Villa's major summer signings.
Any ideas how much Villa have spent since their return to the PL?

We all know they have very wealthy owners but is their income so different to ours and there is a thing called ‘fair play’

PL income c. £125m per season plus sponsors etc

Well they've spent 83 million this window on 4 players, Cash, Watkins, Traore and gk Martinez. They don't seem to sell anyone for big fees. They must have spent over 100 mill last season. If our goal at Villa Park had stood Bournemouth would have stayed up and Villa would be back in the championship

They are on course to spend another £100m by close of this window so c£220m in 2 seasons! I think the ground sale helped them deal in some part with the FFP or so they believe

I was thinking if we really wanted this kid we'd have signed him by now. If we can't afford him then just get someone else on the list, surely there is a target we can afford.

It does point to a loan deal and perhaps why reluctant to move on just yet given we only have 1 loan spot left

Crystal Palace going to Old Trafford & picking up a result won't be doing their chances any damage.

That is true, but at the same time, would Brewster fancy himself to break into their forward line? I do think we need him more than Palace, ergo he probably gets a starring role with us.

Palace winning means absolutely nothing. We are 2 games in. It's not like the league has taken any sort of shape. It won't be a factor at all in where he goes that Crystal Palace have won at Old Trafford again

Exactly. His agent would be crazy if he let the kid make a huge career decision on the basis of a couple of games.

He's not 7 years old. He won't be demanding to go to Palace because they beat Man U just like he won't be demanding to come to us because we beat Palace twice last season. It will come down to money and/or game time

Good profits on the books but cash poor, ask Swiss Ramble.

I could precis that contribution down to one word Roy, and I'm guessing you know which word I mean.

£25m or Loan bid? If we had agreed to pay the fee then why is the transfer taking so bloody long?

Because we have to negotiate the buy back clause so they cant just snatch him back without us getting a sizable profit.

Then you have his wages and then you have a medical to complete and then you have to file all the paperwork with the FA

Fuckin ell how are they communicating? By carrier pigeon.

I'd hope professionals wouldn't potentially commit 4 years of a 20 year career based on one game though.

We've got a transfer channel on the old Cablevision network, but we're having some trouble getting bids through because it's only available in council houses in Sheffield built pre 1975.
