People are just fed up of it dragging on it has been clear towards the back end of last season that we needed a quality striker or 2 and months later we still don't have one yet we see all of our rivals strengthening their teams yet we have done done nothing to rectify that situation.

So of course our fans are going to be frustrated when it has been clear as day what has been needed for a long time and given our past history with falling apart after getting ourselves into a good position it is entirely understandable why people are pissed off.

It’s understandable to be frustrated about not bringing a striker in. What’s not understandable is all the children on here sulking because this particular deal hasn’t been concluded yet, and making out that it’s either dead or is dragging on too long whilst knowing the square root of fuck-all about what’s going on behind the scenes. Most of the ‘information’ around the transfer is based on the echo chamber of social media anyway - the same way that our £40m war-chest for last season became gospel once a few parrots repeated it as fact.

154 pages and we have only just flashed our knickers at him.

There's the deal (or not) and a massive post mortem yet.

It's gonna be 200+ pages this one - buckle up. 😁😁😁

Nixon has a story on us tomorrow. We'll have to wait with baited breath because it's NO Q AND A UNTIL THEN.

Wilder has often been quoted as saying that he ‘treats the clubs money as though it is his own’ This is a pragmatic and sensible attitude with sustainability of the club and value for money being his main priority and I understand that.

However, I cant help wondering, with this same approach, how long must it take Mrs Wilder, to do’t big shop every week?

”You’ve spent how much!!!”

”Wait on, love, I think the shop assistant is about to reduce the price on those sausages”

Like I have said before, I don't know enough about Brewster, hope he is worth the wait, if we get him. A lot of weight on his young shoulders if he does sign.

Reading the last 20 pages is 15 mins I'll never get back...

My key takeaways from some of the 'experts'....

But but but transfers don't take this long on Football Manager so Utd must be doing something wrong the bunch of tight @rses! Just sign Brewster or anybody!
PS Villa are making signings!
PPS Villa are being reckless with their spending!

There's a reason CEO/DoF/HoR roles are not able to be done well by the majority of people!

That's right.
Basically, we are in a negotiation to buy or loan a player, who other clubs are interested in, and the selling club needed replacement's signed up for first. The selling club also see him as a prospect for the future and are weighing up a cake and eat it deal, same as us. It wasn't going to happen overnight, but I guess we are in the end game now.
Klopp etc didn't include this thread getting to 100 pages as a critical point in the process :)

Massively under estimated the uk has approximately 42 thousand deaths according to worldometers which gets it figs from the uk gov but Unexplained deaths are around 65 thousand greater in the comparable time scale.
What’s going on in the rest of the world only god knows . It wouldn’t surprise if the real death from Covid 19 are 50 to 100 percent higher
Aye
And that's afore you factor in all the embolisms aneurisms & throwing self off cliffisms that will ensue if we don't sign Brewster

Do Palace have rich benefactors or something? They have signed Eze and Batshuayi already and now might gazzump us on a Brewster. I understand they have been in the Prem longer than us but they get about 20k fans and must surely have a much bigger wage bill than us.

You’re forgetting Liverpool in this. They basically said they wanted to see him preseason and then presumable wouldn’t sell until they had got their targets in. Which assuming it was Jota was yesterday - fair play they are going to do what works for them.

We aren’t going to take other clubs off guard and swoop in. His agent will be touting him also and keeping other clubs involved. All they have to do is match us if we manage to agree a deal.

I can’t believe Liverpool care at all about where he ends up... if they have decided to sell, other than whoever offers now(which won’t be us). I suspect we are hoping they want to keep him but are willing to loan him out. So we have staying in contact. He’ll get sold now imo.

Spot on
+ perhaps, just perhaps, Scousers are happy with a loan fee with a view to upping the asking price ( (and potential interest / demand) next summer if he performs in the Prem - or even keeping him if he proves to be outstanding ?

Is it just me, every time I hear of Villa signing a player I think of the ghost goal and the fact that they should, by rights, be in the f***ing championship.

Still boils my piss.

They would probably throw money around in the Championship anyway.

Internet says £4 billion net worth of CP owners, Villa £9 billion.

I was going to say imagine being a Bournemouth supporter but we don’t have to imagine, we know what it feels like.

They get 100 million plus every season like everyone else does that’s how
