I'm not sure your question is relevant, mate. They might spend all their TV money (again), but they have bigger backing. We need that money to cover other costs.

United are seemingly run very well currently. We will have a professionally and sensibly planned transfer budget.

We have no real idea how this is being used behind the scenes. Most things in the media are not accurate, as transfer "gossip" is very much gossip, not "news".

Part of me thinks the longer this drags on the more likely Prince and Bettis could be to sanction a bigger salary and fee...£20m and £30k with bonuses?! Doesn't feel too out of the question. Sounds like Palace are in for Benrahma as well so that's a decent chunk of moolah they'll have to spend.

As for f*cking Villa. They're linked with everyone. Given their defence was the second worst in the whole Prem, I'll be amazed if they're not in a relegation battle again next season. No relevance to this. I just f*cking hate them.

I reckon the recruitment team will probably get on with shit without checking with a bunch of no-life online sad-acts that it meets their seal of approval beforehand.

So you’ve not done the deal then? You’ve just chucked your toys out of the pram and the lad goes to Palace. What if you could afford XYZ and he’s your first choice? You settle for your second choice because you don’t have the patience to see a complex negotiation through?
When I bought my second flat, it was the only property in the area that I could afford. There was literally nothing else on the market. I know this because shortly before the deal was done the vendor put the price up. So I literally told him (via the agent) to fuck off. I then tried to find an alternative. There wasn’t one. So I had to go back, after going through my finances, and agree to meet the new asking price. On the day the deal went through I had my mortgage broker on the phone saying if I didn’t complete that day, the mortgage offer was being withdrawn, and my solicitor on the phone being told by me to get it fucking sorted.
I’ve left a bit out here, the entire process actually took the best part of two years but the rest is a bit dull(er).
My point is sometimes you can’t control every event in a purchase and you have to roll with things sometimes to achieve your ultimate objective.

People are just fed up of it dragging on it has been clear towards the back end of last season that we needed a quality striker or 2 and months later we still don't have one yet we see all of our rivals strengthening their teams yet we have done nothing to rectify that situation.

So of course our fans are going to be frustrated when it has been clear as day what has been needed for a long time and given our past history with falling apart after getting ourselves into a good position it is entirely understandable why people are pissed off.
