At £15M I’d agree and I’ve said I’d only want a purchase not a loan but like with Solenke there’s a big risk when your buying them for the maximum they’re currently worth.
I think some folk on here buy into the hype and if they genuinely believed he was a reasonably likely to be that £50M player Liverpool wouldn’t be selling.

I agree somewhat, I don't think we'll pay £25m. But there is a lot of noise about him for sure, maybe Liverpool can't offer him 1st team opportunities and the player isn't happy with the odd run out in the cups? He's going to behind Mane/Salah/Firminho/Origi/Minamino so a lot of quality traffic ahead of him. and possibly why he wants to further his career elsewhere.

I'm note one of these that keep going on about wages but if he leaves on a permanent directly from Liverpool 3 or 4 clubs will meet their valuation and the player will choose the team that offer the most in wages.

I think the only chance of this lad is on loan.
You know, I’m not sure all players do, and I’d offer some complete conjecture for what it’s worth.
This kid has been playing at one the of the teams and getting really positive reviews and comments.
If his self belief is where I think it will be right now, you have every confidence that at some point you’re going to get back to the very top. Therefore you’d pick the side who’ll develop you the best, and in that category no one picks Villa or Newcastle.
Look again at Solenke picking Bournemouth of all teams. I wager that had more to do with the football they played and the managers reputation for brining on players.

He didn’t join till january😂😂
Exactly, I’d credited Rhian with being able to continue the same form for an entire season, and he’d still be behind Oli McB on the majority of stats for his full Swansea season.
I’m not suggesting they are similar players but Oli was superior albeit he was a couple of years older.

PS I’m sure it was you who provided the stats!
Edit: It was!

£25 million? No thanks. Loan or not at all. Rather go to Brentford and grab Watkins or Pukki at a cut price..even Antonio at West Ham or Abraham at Chelsea

That's surely just a fake ITK twitter account saying he's for sale at £25m.

If it were true... I'd actually be tempted to pay it! Though i have not seen enough to actually commit to that, what I have seen was impressive.

Clinical and gets stuck in, potential future England striker. Could go wrong "like Solanke", but then again Solanke may play for England again in a few years.

I agree, although I think it’s fair to say that with hindsight he was worth £10-15 million rather than what Bournemouth paid, and he going to need a huge season in the championship to get back to being worth what they paid a couple of years ago.
As with Brewster, you pay the very top level of what he’s currently worth and you need him to be instant success to get your investment back.

Indeed. If Bournemouth have a decent squad remaining, I do think he's a decent punt for topscorer in the Championship. Confidence seemingly came back with a couple of goals.

Pukki is the only one of your 4 suggestions that could possibly be feasible.

Whys that then? I think you can make a case for it. Abraham is down in the pecking order at Chelsea. Brentford appear to have just signed a replacement for Watkins with Ivan Toney...and Antonio isn’t getting any younger...!

I never thought I’d see the likes of Raul Jiminez, Neves or Moutinho at Wolves. Now there’s Allan and James Rodriguez looking like they’re off to Everton. These are crazy times we live in.

Probably because we're skint so we can't afford them

If we could Brewster for 25 million it would be an absolute steal, surely?! At 20 year old with the stats hes got, i can only see him in Liverpools top line in the next 3/4 years. Couldnt see Antonio or Pukki playing next to Salah or Mane? Or isit just me

I don't think he's worth 25 million. I doubt Liverpool would be selling him if he was. I thought Origi was off so it makes little sense. I don't think he's good enough to start PL games, just yet. In a year's time, maybe.

It will be £15 mil with a buy back clause! IF they sell him

If you could guarantee he was going to be that player then yeah totally agree he would be a steal. But for every Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney. They’re are 100 Connor Wickhams/Ben Woodburns/Jose Baxter’s.

I’d prefer a proven Premier League goal scorer I guess, but even those are inconsistent and expensive. I’m totally up for signing Brewster on loan by the way.

I’m interested to see what happens with Rodrigo at Leeds. Apart from Fernando Torres I cant think of another Spanish Striker that’s ever hit the heights in the premier league.

What stats? The one which another poster kindly provided suggested they put him slightly behind McBurnie when both were at Swansea.
Do you have some analytics you can share as I’d be really interested as I’m sure would others?

I wouldn't want to sign him on a permanent deal but he was the top scorer in the championship last year since he signed for a 20 year olds first extended run at first team football

Not sure what Nationality has to do with the ability to play in the premier league.

I can't think of many if any English strikers that ever do well in La Liga either, mainly because the majority of players from major footballing countries stay in those countries.

There has been plenty of successful Spaniards who play midfield roles in the premier league. I’m pointing out that there have not been a great number of successful Spanish strikers in the Premier League.

I would hazard a guess more Spanish strikers have given it a go in the premier league than vice versa for whatever reason that might be.

I fully admit I don't have a huge knowledge in this subject but I would've thought it was more to do with the Spanish strikers mostly coming here at the end of their careers to try and cut it in a different league.

Off the top of my head I can only really remember Torres and Diego Costa coming here still in their prime and both were a success. The one I thought would tear up The Prem was Fenando Morientes when he signed for Liverpool as he had been absolute class in Spain and, although probably more towards the end than the prime of his career, he was certainly not "over the hill" when he came here but he was just another example of an absolute world class striker that just couldn't cut it in this country. See Shevkhenko for the same.

I always thought Negredo and Soldado would be decent here as well, both of those arrived in their prime but it just didn’t work out
