Yes, there could be, CW has used this mindset before?

But, personally I honestly believe that one or two of his targets have slipped away (gone for higher wages, clubs/agents asking for high fees, etc) so he is ready to go with what he has got, with the couple of low risk loans and "left field" small value signings.
Think that's probably the case, although i'd like to think that we might get another "left-field" signing that he's kept out of the limelight - a bit like what we did with Berge :)

You can’t look at a full season with two strikers. Moose at best (based on last season) will only be fit until new year.

we need a New striker and a Didzy replacement
100%.
I just mean at their best they'd be hard to improve on.

This happened this pre season (not at SUFC). After 3 weeks of negotiations Premier league player and agent agree terms to go to a club. At the last hour, another club comes in and offers the agent double his agreed fee with first club, plus an added bonus of the same weekly wage as his client! First club end up with a f#ck off tablet. This is what we’re up against. Football today is f#cked.

im hopefully if it comes off very good potential talent. but i dont have answer, but we need to find a way to take advantage of our dominance in games. because it killed us too many times just in that final month. we were better team v burnley arsenal everton & Southampton all 4 games other experienced PL teams wouldve had won. we got a draw & 3 defeats

We must not let other clubs or players agents to dictate what we do, otherwise you end up like Villa , who ought to be held to book by the FA over FFP
Dont let the b*st*rds grind you down Chris, stay within your budgets & run the club properly

If players just want the money ( and that is thier choice ) then they atre not the player for us, we want players who can see the benefit of playing within Tufty's system & want to play for us

I kind of agree ,there aren't many players who knock us back and go onto bigger and better things perhaps maupay buy incant help but feel he would have scored more goals and had a better season with us

Doubt that we can afford that or that Liverpool would prefer to sell vs. loan..!

No chance at £25m Imho

Whether he’s worth it or not I’ve no idea, but my own opinion is that we haven’t got £25m to spend on one player, but hey ho what do I know

We can certainly afford it but it probably spells then end of our recruitment except for loans and cheap punts.

£25m is too steep considering the amount of football he has played. £15m seems fair, maybe with an additional £5m in add ons.

Worth noting he's an East Londoner & that Palace would pay much higher wages. If they're in for him we have little chance.

I'm not writing anything off these days. This one is picking up a little bit of traction by the looks of it.

Have to ask...is the price so high cos he’s a liverpool player? Or because he was so outstanding in the champ?

Be a good player with a good calibration for us to sign, but I’m afraid we won’t pay that as we do t have it

I don’t believe a word from this guy, who the fuck is he?!

I've no idea.
But Nixon seems to think Liverpool are willing to sell Brewster permanently to raise funds to purchase Sarr from Watford.

Ollie Watkins
Dennis
Jean-Pierre Nsame
Patson Daka
Rouwen Hennings

Just to name a few in that rough price bracket. 25 million is a lot of money and whilst potential comes with a high premium there are an abundance of players that would come with a significantly lower price than that

What's nsame ?

Of course he is worth the investment he is a quality young player and has the potential to be at last double that possibly more.

Get him in.

Is that at the £25m that you think he’s worth it?
Just for context that’s more than we paid for McBurnie who outperformed him in his Swansea season is a poorer team and Berge.

If he's as good as they say he is then £25m is good business. If he gets 15+ goals next season he's then worth £50m. If he doesn't we would still recoup a big portion of the £25m in resale value due to his age and potential.

At £15M I’d agree and I’ve said I’d only want a purchase not a loan but like with Solenke there’s a big risk when your buying them for the maximum they’re currently worth.
I think some folk on here buy into the hype and if they genuinely believed he was a reasonably likely to be that £50M player Liverpool wouldn’t be selling.
£25M is a huge outlay and risk for a kid who’s made played 22 professional starts in the 2nd division. Is he really worth that right now?

I'm note one of these that keep going on about wages but if he leaves on a permanent directly from Liverpool 3 or 4 clubs will meet their valuation and the player will choose the team that offer the most in wages.

I think the only chance of this lad is on loan.
