Has anyone seen any Klopp quotes saying that he won't be leaving on loan again?

I find the lack of faith in our team genuinely disturbing. From pundits and other fans is one thing, but from our own?

Last season we were fucking amazing. Every season under Wilder we have had a small budget and still pushed on. Every season under Wilder 'journeyman' players have been written off only to step up and blow us all away.

Where on earth does this pathetic 'can't pin our hopes on a 20 year old on loan' BS come from? (as if his age means anything anyway). We pin our hopes on our magnificent team that have all (bar Deano) stayed put. If, against all the odds, we are actually a worse team than last season, we would still be fine. We finished top half ffs people open your eyes, get off twitter reading tossers chat shit despite having never been to a game, relax, enjoy the ride.

This is your opinion, based on what you believe or have faith in.

My opinion (not faith) is that we will find it a lot harder this season than last, and even if we improve the forward line, we are still going to need our goals against column to be something similar, which in my personal opinion will be extremely difficult for our defence to achieve (not impossible, and in my opinion we will not start to ship in loads of goals, but can see us conceding a few more).

Based on my opinion, we will need to score more goals to compensate and, in my opinion, I hope that we don’t bring in the 20 year old player from LFC on loan and the club have other options lined up (the kid will probably go to another club and score loads of goals on loan, but I am not convinced that he is what we need reight now).

I don’t really do faith, and this is Just my opinion of course, which is what a lot of the forum is based upon (people’s own opinions, which like many I like to read what other people’s opinions are).

Can you explain your thinking behind why the same defence as last season, with a years experience under their belts, will be worse than last season?

Or what? Relegation? We have proven last season we are a solid team at this level. If we ship a few more goals like you say, we'll still stay up. I have faith in our staff based upon what he has actually done season after season for our club, I'm not imagining it.
 
Palace have sneaked under the radar at 6-4 favs to sign him (loan deals don’t count)
That’s quite a small price for there to be no smoke for this fire!

United were favourites for Watkins 2 weeks back. We were 1/20 to sign Maupay, just some perspective

That is your opinion, it's just different from mine, but like I said I like to read what other people's opinions are on next season and what they think of the current squad, formations, etc.

You don't have to keep justifying having an opinion when nobody is saying you shouldn't have one.

Yes it is a football forum, yes people are entitled to their own opinion. I think you are wrong. That is ok.
 
My two cents. Second season is alway harder. The teams with the more tactically astute managers may alter their style of play specifically for us. This will make it harder for us to win games therefore goal difference may take a hit as will points tally. Without Hendo I think we'll ship more goals but we have intelligent coaching and tactical decision making within the club. As well as a system which has a bedrock of quality defensive attributes. If I saw our nearest rivals making fantastic signings (or really any signings) then yep, I'd be a little worried. But when I see c.£30m on Rodrigo and c.£18m on Eze, I'm not worried. Of course we need some strikers but right now, let's chill the F out

Normally one decent sized bet moves those markets. You could argue that there’s maybe a reason behind the bet, but main point is it doesn’t take much really.

True. And I'm one hell of a humourless bastard, anyways, as my profile pic should make clear to you. This is only my third language. My family and all the pals are probably all ashamed of me now, and no one wants to see to be associated with me any more. Such a hard life.

Really hope it doesn't happen because I think it's too much of a departure from Football as we know it.

His words were that there's no rush to make a decision on him and he'll be in the first team picture when the season starts, which I think is to be expected as I said further up it can increase the fee they get for him, loan or otherwise, if he performs well in upcoming games, or he might end up being the replacement for Origi if he moves on too

This isn't over yet by any means, I'm quietly confident this one might still happen

Of course Klopp isn't going to say he's sending him out on loan because he doesn't think he's good enough yet even if it were the case

No rush for Klopp and it may genuinely be a case of waiting a bit longer before deciding fully. He’s on the bench today in the Community Shield. If he impresses from it, that may move Klopp towards keeping him. I know it’s difficult for some fans to think back further than a month in football, but we had our very own example of this sort of development dilemma when Wilder was set on sending Brooks to Chesterfield for the season till performances (in this case in the Toulon tournament) made him reassess that.
