From what Wilder said yesterday there are other options so wouldn't be surprised if we're ell on the way with another option and if that other option comes in first then surely we'd go with that rather than wait for Liverpool to make their mind up, or accept our offer.

Can't see Tammy Abraham being the other option though, surely Villa would have been the top option there, they wanted him I recall and had him on loan before.

Tammy Abraham? He scored 15 in the PL last season & 20+ in the Championship the two seasons previous.

He'd cost at least double what Brewster is costing. It's one of the worst rumours I've seen on here. He was asking for £100k a week this Summer.

My main suggestion was Joel Pohjanpalo - still available I may add . I did suggest Gunter admittedly, not necessarily out of desire but I could see the logic, but only as cover - honest!

As for Samatta, how many thought we'd go for Burke and what sort of response would most have on here before it actually became obvious it was going to happen?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if we really had the budget to get someone like Brewster then maybe it'd have happened by now and it just feels like pulling teeth.
