The idea that United should have steamrollered Plymouth at this stage of the season is too simplistic. Football doesn't work like that. Plymouth are dead and buried, and they know it. They'd absolutely no pressure whatsoever. A top team rolls into town, whose manager has made derogatory comments, so they thought they'd have a go. And some of their players will be hoping for moves away in the summer to boot.

My theory is that United are better at chasing a lead than holding one, it's in Wilder's DNA. Prove 'em wrong, backs against the wall etc. Even if United had done better in these last three games, they'd still have had to bear Burnley on Friday, so nothing changes. What has changed is that the pressure is now on the Clarets, so United need to do what Plymouth did and test out Burnley's bottle.

That would be the logical sensible approach as we know Robinson won't be dropped. Just don't see a 3 happening. Seriki would thrive as a RWB but he's likely to go with Clarke and persist with the same slow build play with the aerial deficiency at the back. If Holding does come in and its a big if now he'll probably drop Anel.

Imagine though, playing 3-5-2 where there is no place for wingers. You’d definitely play the centre half who had a nightmare and you’d definitely be dropping your only scorer I. The last three!

Whenever I see Blades have punch ups between themselves in the stands I wonder what went off to start it. Then I read threads like this full of argumentative children and it all makes sense
