Guess we may as well pack it in and not even try, scrap the Academy ( joking ). I think what pisses the fans off is the fact that we never put up much of a fight up to keep the young players and rather than selling them at a price that makes the eyes water we sell them as cheap as chips.

Walker and Naughton ?

£10 million for two players with less than 40 second tier appearances between them? On the knowledge we had at the time, that was a bloody good price.

Admittedly, you would probably be looking at £15 million + for Walker alone now, but no-one knew how well he would develop. He might have been another Lee Morris or Jacob Mellis.

I trust their judgement in alot of areas but having watched the team so much this season I don't know what they're thinking keeping the likes of Pemberton. All opinions of course, and I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I will be in the case of Max. Obviously only time will tell us that.



It's not bitterness, just frustration for the points I mentioned above.

From what I've heard today, John Pemberton may be leaving soon anyway.

This was denied by Pemberton when the rumour started last week. But saying that,he may get a better offer elsewhere that we can't match if we don't go up
