How many instances of Puntos being traded in for a Rolls?? 🤣

Although to be fair I can personally verify the observation regarding the Ibiza is a valid one. Still love mine though
Had an Ibiza years ago, never let me down,, first to agree the number of LB's we have but JOCs been out injured Robibson had injury issues, RND who knows, Championship experience but with JOC out, CW didn't bring him back, as for Bryan it's a risk but fairly measured, if he signs that doesn't guarantee he won't be sold

You have a Rolls Royce, a Fiesta, a Seat Ibiza... do you also need a Punto?
Who’s who? Bryan can play entirely across the left of defence and possibly left DCM. Osborn can play LB, LDCM and possible LW. Robinson is LCH and probably cover for Egan and is the best of the three if our first choice are out.
It would be closer if you said we’ve a Landy, a Defender, a 3 series and a Elise. They’re all vehicles and some could do the role of another but you wouldn't want to have to use them all the time as they’re designed for quite different things.

I beg your pardon.

A bit of respect wouldn`t go amiss.
He’s in the past. All he was bothered about was the money and he couldn’t wait to get going when the going got tough. So much intact he tried to leave twice before eventually leaving and even then demanded a huge pay off.

I am again here to say, fuck Chris Wilder.

Each to his/her own view. I would guess that we don`t yet know the full story of CW`s departure.

I don't think Osborn wants to be a LB to be fair, I think he'll be in the midfield pool from now on.

Stevens Lowe RND Bryan as LB/LWB
JOC Robinson Bryan as LCB if we keep playing 3 at the back.

We could also be offering him a deal with the intention of loaning him out or selling him at some point in the near future, he's probably worth more than we paid so there's money there.

It's not really up to Osborn where he plays and he's nowhere near good enough on the ball to play consistently in midfield in the top two divisions of English football. If Wilder takes over at West Brom it wouldn't surprise me at all if he targeted Osborn for the terrier role.

No mention of Tyler Smith, Regan Slater or Jake Eastwood. Does this mean that the club have extended their deals?

If he's in the past, why all the bitterness?

Left back?

We have..
Stevens
Lowe
RND
Osborn
Robinson
Just shows how unbelievably poor recruitment has been. Robinson is ok cover for JoC for a few games. But for a full season - no.
5-6 options at LB, but we're back to having no proper cover for either Bash or Egan. More goalkeepers than midfielders.

I got released through work. My choice as 'bumping'. I asked and got the nod after 34.5 years. My role was not at risk. 9 month release clause which suits me and the company. Good payoff too. From my understanding a released player will have similar terms and if I'm wrong please correct me. I like my career, just fancy a stint somewhere warmer at Xmas for a few months. I'm in a better situation than a released player as I have only one agent. Me. I have contract offers for mid 2022. GLT those going particularly Jags. Hammer and Pincers if you read this Phil.

Glad to see two of the Wilder Mafia pissing off in Lundstram and Rodwell. These two might as well have worn balaclavas and had sawn offs when at the Lane this year, the robbing cunts. A few more to go I hope, time to get nasty Slav, show no mercy.

Good summary. Think as well Wilder wanted to sign players who would be up for the challenge should we be relegated too. As much as this can be criticised I think it is a realistic view too.
He always had a concern about us being relegated. These last few windows since promotion have been about signing players with the intention of improving the team in the PL but are likely top end Championship quality or better. Aside from Berge potentially because he's a different pedigree.
The thinking is that if relegated you can bounce back up and go again, just like Norwich, Fulham, Watford have done and the hope is you improve on it till you end up in a situation more like Burnley or Palace etc. where your staying up each year
The Premiership sussed Wilder and so would the Championship we’ve just got to face the fact he was a one trick pony

i think osborn is a better left back than midfielder to be honest and as were well covered in that position i think he will be moved on

If I remember right he came from City on a free with a sell on clause.
Gerard at Rangers wanted him but he chose us..
He had some bad luck with injuries and illness which ruined the first 18 months of his contract with us so maybe worth a punt to keep him
Came through Cities academy so must have ability + a turn of pace.

One thing I hope SJ will be better than Wilder at and that is recruitment, which shouldn’t be hard considering the complete and utter clusterfuck and unbalanced look to the squad he has made of it.

Good luck to Jags and Moore, good servants to the club.

Fuck off Rodwell and Lundstram.

I’m sure many more will be gone but fees and payoffs will be required, we can’t seriously go in to a season with 5 left backs? It’s as bad as that twat Southgate with his 4 right backs.

Interesting times coming up with the ins and outs at the lane, I think we could have quite a few surprises both ways with a manager who literally seems to not give two fucks who he upsets.

No surprises really.

Bryan won't be on any significant wage, wouldn't have been bothered about him going but there's potential in there - even as a squad player.

Made this point about Mcburnie, but new division, new manager, new formation, new style of play. For better or worse, think we'll see some very different players next year - I'm convinced there'll be one or two surprises amongst current squad (L Freeman, Brewster, RND & Bogle I'm backing to pleasantly surprise)

Suspect one of the LBs will get bombed out, Lowe seems to have impressed no one and Enda probably doesn't go beyond this coming season.

All the best to all of them, wasn't Rodwell's fault he was injured, not sure why Wilder gave him an offer but he must have felt he would offer decent cover. Lunny's situation will eventually come out, we've heard recent accounts from Martyn Woolford and Dean Hammon from Sheff Utd way that offer their side and you realise it's not quite as it might seem.

Sad that Jags goes in some ways, hope he does well in coaching if he goes into that. Regarding Bryan, bit surprised in a way, but he has shown potential and in the Championship I think he may be reasonable, although I'd prefer Robinson. Hoping JOC is fit like everyone else, maybe Bryan signed as cover.
We all know there is something fishy about the LunnyCunt saga because it makes no sense whatsoever. All that Duffy (hero of promotion) did was to ask for a cheeky wage rise + CW chucks him out on his ear , in an unnecessarily extreme version of his policy of "if they don't want to be here I will drive them to where they reckon it better" .
Lunny starts to act the cunt over his contract in late 2019 / early 2020 , yet CW not only tolerates it , he actually plays him when he's out of form.
Then in the 20/21 season , Lunny all but drops his keks + shits in the centre circle , taking the piss out of the club with shambolic lazy performances , stooping low enough to throw in a crazy unnecessary tackle early in games to get himself booked so he can justify "shuffling around for the remaining 80mins.
And CW continues to pick him !
Totally against his own stated policy of chucking out any player acting the twat. Bizarre !
The rest of the squad now think to themselves "why should I bother to put a shift in ? Coz the gaffer picks that ugly cunt every week even though he's obviously tossing it off".
And there you have it , relegation on a plate.
Someone at the Club should have insisted that CW chuck Lunny out before the rot set in - but no one on the Board had the balls to do it.
You can talk about your lack of crowds or JoC injury or misfiring midfield & strikers , to your heart's content - but the festering sore of Lunny was imho the single most influential factor in our relegation , which you could read in the players faces from early season.
In fact the 18 month Lunny saga was a sure sign to me that CW was losing the plot from the return after Lockdown "1.
