Come on Len you know thats not quite fair. The only way we were able to re-sgn Jageilka was through a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for a PL side for a set fee.

There was a thread on this a while back where it was worked out that there are probably only two players over the last 20 years or so that we can be said to have undersold - Mendonca and Marsden.

I know - and said fee was set ridiculously low by one can only guess.

I suspect the fee was set after a hard round of negotiation between the Lane management and Jags' agent with the agent starting at around 20p and United at around 136 trillion and 4 million being the compromise...

I thought he did ok. The conditions weren't good and he hardly had time to learn anyones name.

He seems able to use both feet and passes mostly accurate. Good strong tackle as well. I noticed when he passed forward he followed up and made himself available for a return. Was more than willing to try and get the ball down even when under pressure and held used the ball well. Good strength about as big as Monty.

Can he cut it in CCC ? - difficult to say on the one outing but may be worth another look as age is on his side.
