Minor version of a report.

The first half was quite scrappy but stupidly fast paced.
There were only 2 real chances during the whole half, the First was a shot from the left side of the 6 yard box by Nicky Travis when he'd been played through. The Second was a header from 8 yards by Jordan Robertson and .
The First, the ball was worked well in midfield and played through the heart of the Darlington defence for Travis to run onto, where he struck it from the left side of the 6 yard box and the keeper clawed it away for a corner.
The Second was a towering header that didn't have quite enough power to beat the keeper.
There wern't really that many more chances in the first half, United finished the half with a couple of corners but couldn't create a clear chance in front of goal.
But at half time Kyle Naughton, Nicky Travis and Lloyd Kerry looked the best players on the pitch.
In the second half United took pretty much total control and attacked at every opportunity.
Only 5 minutes into the second half Chris Robertson had a good chance from the right side of the area about 20 yards out. He hit a fierce shot and the keeper managed to block it away with his legs.
Ryan Gyaki broke the deadlock after 54 minutes, some good work down the right pulled the Darlington defence around and when the ball eventually came to Gyaki about 20 yards out just right of centre he blasted the ball in off the inside of the right hand post.
From then on Ben Starosta and Nicky Travis took over pretty much all of the playmaking and compination of the 2 created a good chance only minutes after the goal.
Travis played the ball down the right and Starosta outpaced the darligton fullback and played Marrison in on the right of the area, the ball broke near the goal line and Marrisons shot narrowly went over and out for a goal kick.
With 5 minutes left Starosta crossed and Oliver headed just wide.
Jordan Robertson had a shot soon after that was deflected and hit the top of the bar and fell straight back into the keepers arms.
Darlington managed one shot in the second half after gerrard had punched the ball weakly to the edge of the area. The shot went narrowly wide.

Good midfield play by Travis got him my man of the match vote but Starosta wasn't far behind as he dominated and created from the right back position.
