He didn’t in fairness as he’s quarantined. But I think Kenny is massively out of his depth and a poor appointment.

I genuinely don’t know what Ireland are anymore. I don’t know what Kenny is trying to get them to do, what their identity is. Are they a hard to beat counterattacking side? A play through the thirds side? No idea. And as you say, they don’t use players in the same role as they play for their club sides. I feel for our Irish players, they’re a shadow of the sides under Charlton and McCarthy and it must be a bit shit having to turn out for them.

He is wasted at centre back and can't defend well enough for that position. Their manager is out of his depth. The parallels to us this season were uncanny. Having said all that Stevens looked like Pele compared to Callum Robinson, he was abject

It was a dog shit performance last night
1 good chance in first half set up with a pass from Enda to Robinson who crossed for a reflex save from their keeper
1 chance ? In the second half ,
It was like watching United slow slow , side to side back to the keeper ( a young lad from man city ) who was good
They only really went forward in numbers when Luxembourg scored , even then it looked like a motions effort , remind anyone of anybody

Kenny's interview last night was an uncomfortable watch.

No win in 10 games is one thing but he looked totally bemused and lost for words.

I’ve seen plenty of strikers go through purple patches and look world beaters, then quickly drop off, I call it the Michael Rickets syndrome, and I’ve seen keepers totally lose confidence (most England keepers tbf) but I can’t think of many defenders who’ve been as inconsistent in their careers. After our first championship season, I though he needed replacing. Then, for a season and a half I thought I’d called it completely wrong. Now, I wouldn’t be bothered if he left on a free.
