... which bell-end of a pundit it was that reckoned we'd be struggling for double-figures in the points totals by Xmas, no doubt while simultaneously rubbing themselves into a state of soreness over Villa and all the munneh they've spunked up the wall...?

Whoever it was we, should all send a copy of today's PL table to them by post.

Someone Scottish I recall. That doesn't narrow it down I know xD

Whats was Scott's predication in Lawries section on Football Focus ? 4-1 to Arsenal ?? 🤣

There's a long way to go yet and I'd still take 17th now but it does highlight the ignorance of many pundits.

I appreciate too much media now is about creating controversy to get reaction but if you're going to give strong opinion it's got to come from a decent knowledge base.

It seems quite a few would rather edge their bets talking bollocks rather than say they've not seen enough of us yet.

So far I've heard ex international players from top 3 teams of their day say we're not glamorous enough to stop up, our overlapping centre halves are a gimmick, we're big strong physical and like to get it forward, and la creme de la creme, our style of play will be an embarrassment in the Premier League leading to Wilder being the first to be sacked.

I'm not getting carried away as we're not many injuries away from potential issues, and I still think our goals for needs to improve somehow, but over all we're acquitting ourselves very well.

Steve Nicoll lacks the intelligence to open is mouth. Was he not the one that said Mohamed Salah transfer too Liverpool was much money for a player who probably won’t start under Jurgen Klopp.
Steve Carragher the best pundit by miles on sky.

This fucking thick cunt?

He's the most miserable, boring, arrogant, hateful twat of a pundit I've ever seen. Not only bad at his job as a pundit but seems like a thoroughly horrible person.

I had no idea who he was the first time I saw him. Looked him up and wasn't surprised to discover that he played for Wednesday.

I'm just glad he's on some foreign ESPN channel so I very rarely see have to see his face.

Wait until you see today’s episode. ‘It’s a miserable place to go to’ - so said Paul Mariner about our city, not particularly tongue in cheek either. A bit of sense talked by Craig Burley but basically 15 minutes whittling on about Arsenal and nothing about us. In fact don’t bother watching it, terrible viewing unless you are a masochistic Arsenal fan.

It was when he came with Pompey one year.

I bet he's still claiming goals in our League from across the Atlantic.

Said before, he's a very bad Frankie Boyle tribute act.

Er it was Adrian Durham on talk radio or summat, he said we were a disgrace to PL (since apologised) and, he said we would not get double figures this side of xmas and struggle to beat Derby's and Huddersfield's pathetic points.

Proving lots of critics wrong, but credit to Phil McNulty, the only one to say before the season he thought we'd stay up, giving the reason as Chris Wilder.

I've stopped listening to Talksport of late to be honest but I wonder if Adrian Durham was complimentary on us today?!

Not sure but Andy Jacobs was. Had it on in the car and he was saying he loves Wilder and us. Genuinely enthusiastic.

All Durham mentioned when I listened was about diving and whether Wilder would fine McGoldrick for doing it and claiming there was contact on Sakho when he got booked for diving, basically just negative digs at the Blades.

It was real backs to the wall stuff from Pompey, they defended well with 9 men behind the ball and we never looked like scoring. My memory is that Mariner sliced an attempted clearance into his own net but it was a long time ago!

If memory serves, it was a cross from Steve Wigley.

Pompey actually had 8 men, having had 3 sent off in the first half, and Beagrie had gone for us.

You're right, we looked like we'd have played all night and not scored before that.

After they went behind Pompey brought on Vince Hilaire and put him up front on his own and he almost scored on more than one occasion.
