I brought myself to listen to one of Adkins interviews and there's a few things I should raise. I'm struggling to understand the sudden exclusion of what seemed like a player in Kieran Wallace looking a bit better than he was before and up to his contract extension. He seemed more than a little cagey when took to task about that.

Terry Kennedy: Sounds as though he's injury free. I don't think that much of him as a player, but I think he ought to be getting in this side, and the particularly pathetic defence. Height aside, he's got a lot of attributes you don't see in McEveley, Collins or Edgar really. Aggression, tough in the tackle and definitely doesn't back out of any headers or aerial battles.

While ever Adkins continues his bizarre and unbelievable refusal to sign another couple of central defenders, we ought to be utilising him as best we can and a lot more often than we are now. It's about making the best of a bad situation and a bad squad.

What would you prefer Barney, 1 player capable of 40 games per season or 4 players that could only manage 10 games per season?

1 player playing 40 games is preferable, but if he's useless then you might be better with the latter..

Kennedy, best centre half at the club. What we could do with is a Terry Kennedy who is fit and a few inches taller.

Virtually all our fans know the club should go out and sign a defender like that and should have done it 18 months ago ... over to you messrs Adkins and McCabe.

Reading the title I assumed this wouldn't be yet another thread from this chap slagging the manager off (of a team he no longer watches).

How wrong was I?

When Adkins states that a certain player needs to be playing games, as is the case with Kennedy and in the past others, it invariably means that it is not at this club and I think that clarifies the situation as to where Kennedy's future lies.

Seeing as though Phipps made a direct statement about Clough playing players then suddenly dropping them without reason, you could perhaps, justifiably ask where Freeman AND Kieran Wallace are. Maybe Radio Sheffield should ask Adkins outright if there has been a spat between him and those two.

I’ve got a source checking with Wallace to see what’s happened, but he’s not come back to me yet.

Freeman made way for the Beard, but right after he disappeared from the match day squad entirely.

I don’t agree with your comments about Kennedy, he’s a very decent player at this level, however, I agree that he should be playing in alongside Edgar

Some of Adkins decisions are baffling and from listening yesterday it sounded like he went very negative second half (only basing it on Keith Edwards comments)

Re: Kennedy, as Jehovah points out above, the lad is unable to string three games
together...believe his last start was for Cambridge in November where came off in the 24th minute with an injury...

Yeah i think the point was if he was fit he has the talent there, but i suppose thats the big point

It's only sentiment that's keeping him here. His knees are fucked.

Very sad, but he's one of the bloated 46 (or 43? or 41?) roster that's supposedly preventing us signing anyone, & he needs to be shunted out.

From the few games I've seen Kennedy play, he'd be absolutely ideal, so many within the club ( new contract not so long back) and so many fans want it to work for the lad...but, sadly, it's looking increasingly unlikely.

Yeah we saw last season he had a decent run of games, but since then he's been virtually non existent, poor lad.

There's no point going on about Kennedy. He can't string three games together. You need your centre half ever present, not missing half the season.
He's injury free. Why not give him a chance and see as opposed to giving in and opting for poorer players?

Because we've done it before and he never stays fit. It's a complete waste of time.

Unfortunately the injuries young Tel has had so far means he will never be a 46 game a season player.
His fitness levels is why Cambridge returned him, and I believe he will go down the coaching route in the next year or so, as did Travis Binnion at a young age.
Really unlucky for the lad cos coaches at Shirecliffe down the years have told me he is a brilliant lad, who puts everything he has into every training session.
