To me the most succesful years were under Bassett , 2 succesive promtions and then staying up from being bottom in december, so 3 great seasons on the bounce, cant think of emulating that , and lots of those goal things we used to enjoy

Stuart Pearce - the man that managed to take Citeh through something like 16 games at the end of one season and scoring only one or two goals? He was castigated for that shambles, which nearly cost them a place in the prem.

Do you know what? Pearce was trying the exactly same thing as Weir is now with that lot back then. He had just completed all his "painting by numbers" coaching at FIFA and wanted to put into practice all the text book things he had learned from the illuminate as he now had all the tools to be a success in the modern game. He failed miserably, it was miserable, boring, uninspiring drivel - and you can draw exact parallels with what Weir is attempting to experiment with us now - yet it appears that no fucker that matters can see it.

Rather than style Div 3 Blades on Moyes Prem perennials Everton he should have fucking well picked up the phone and spoken at length to Nigel Adkins and Paul Lambert to find out exactly how HMS piss the league can actually be achieved - And I tell you what - there was no fucking one up front bollocks and all back defending a corner in division 3 with Norwich or Southampton. They creamed it with fast flowing, assertive, high tempo, energetic, football and scored a shed load of goals in the process.
