Even thought the referee was poor at Pride Park last night and gave Derby virtually every decision. I felt I must comment about the favours the topsides get . Man City should have had Kompany sent off in the first minute for a dreadful challenge on Lennon - far worse than the one Killgallon did at Hillsborough which Mike Dean deemed a red card offence. Then later Sane poleaxed Lowton with a dreadful challenge and only got yellow carded . Last week a Cardiff player got red carded for a similar offence against Spurs.
I must say Lowton should be praised for his actions of not rolling around in agony like many foreign players do. In fact it’s a shame the FA can’t reward players or deduct a previous booking off their records, for his honest behaviour rather than trying to get your apparent deliberately sent off so many modern players do after challenge.
I would like see honesty and gentlemanly behaviour rewarded.
