not very often i praise them but thought he was outstanding, hull probably wont think so with the penalty appeal but long time since i have seen a ref let a game flow so freely

Very inconsistent and managed to enforce the rule that Leon Clarke must always be booked for a first foul, then the opponents get a free go at recreating it within minutes.

He was the worst ref I had ever seen in the playoff semi v Swindon at home.Clearly remember the disgraceful decisions that cost us but we've had him twice since and couldn't fault him.

Perhaps shows how difficult refereeing can be but agreed he tried to let the game flow which suited us second half when we had momentum.

The linesman, with the ball a good 12" over the line watching it roll past his toes but not flagging was funny.

As a rule I hate ref's called Darren (Deadman, Bond, England) but I have to admit that he has improved.
