I think he's surely worth consideration.

Firstly, I don't expect Brayford to improve much, and secondly he seems quite likely to spend a lot of time injured.

I think Wabara can also play centre back.

I havent seen him for a few seasons but i remember him looking like a good prospect a few seasons ago, must have struggled sinse hence release..? I would sign up!

I think like Egan and Sawyers there may be some championship options for Wabara.

Players of his size and athleticism appeal to managers and based on his appearance in team of the season and the times I've seen him his ability seems to be catching up.

If he's within our reach I'd love us to sign him (and Egan).

Linked with a few clubs in the championship so I doubt we'd be at the front of the queue for him.

I think the priority is to sign players from this divsion and below to get us out of this league and then step up if we get promoted. This guy was binned the minute Wigan got promoted, where as they could have given him a new contract and loaned him out if they thought he had that potential. So it's a no from me.

You never know though, he may have wanted certain assurances on first team football, wage demands or contact length that Wigan weren't prepared to offer.

And just because one club doesn't rate them doesn't mean they can't become a success. Ask Aston Villa about Matt Albrighton.

Agreed, but I don't think we're in that boat that is going to allow the time to find out.

Bang On.

We've signed players with recent PL/Championship experience and they've failed in L1.
Stepping down levels isn't as easy as folks make out.

Weren't Coventry City going to "walk" L1 when they announced Joe Cole had signed?
