Cat amongst the pigeons here now but just a thought

Loyalty points are issued on games attended and of course money into United's coffers. But points are really awarded when we spend money - correct.

The question is should anyone watching United via the red button get loyalty points? As they are spending via Sky and United get some of that and all live matches on Sky United get a chunk of money

Should anyone watching via ifollow get loyalty points?
They are buying in to watch with United getting a high percentage of the fee

I am sure there are arguments for and against but what’s your thought as money is changing hands

Your thoughts. Should loyalty points be issued for this?

My question is; has anyone used the ‘friends and family’ function on the ticket site? Tried this morning but says ‘one ticket per supporter’ but there’s 2 names on my account.

Or must I wait until 9am?

9am the website / ticketing site becomes the new working day.

No. In fact if anything there’s an argument for increasing the points you could get for attending a game when the red button is available.

This for me. Midweek games, games on sky, red button games should get higher loyalty points but any which way, the loyalty point system only gets complained about when the derby is on and we are likely to sell out....

There is an issue with the loyalty points system though. But not awarding points for non-attendance couldn’t be further from the legitimate debate about it...

To be fair to the OP it was just a discussion starter with what I think is an excellent question.
If the loyalty points are awarded for spending to watch the Blades then I think they should be awarded to people who watch via i-Player, but can only be used towards a discount on TV games!
But seriously, what about people working abroad who can't get to games and support the club by paying to watch in a different country?
Should they not have some kind of advantage when they come back over someone living locally who never goes or pays to watch?

As soon as I get my 'turned down opportunities to work elsewhere, as wanted to still be able to attend matches' points.

Oh and I'd like my academy, friendlies and returning the ball at training points before the sky ones are dealt out please :)

People on here think that everybody who follows the Blades live just round the corner from the ground.

A lot do of course, but thousands live all over the country and abroad.

So for many who can’t get to all the marches these alternatives are a godsend.

Can tell Wednesday at home is coming up. Jeeeeez.

Pigoen among the cats thought.

I shave using razor BLADES. Should I get loyalty points for this?

Also, when I have a dump I'm often thinking about the next game so are there are any half points available for 'intent of thought'? Perhaps Rob Styles could help with that one.

BTW, I don't have as many points as the people who go everywhere each season. This seems unfair to me and so should I be given more points because I've written something on a thread?

BTW2, if anyone is offended by this then I'm more offended by their taking offence. I am the victim here and I deserve to be heard!

I don't get how the home derby has sparked any sort of debate over loyalty points. You get 50 points a game and have done for what? 10 years? Sorry you attend less than 1 game a season you don't deserve to go.

For context I work most Saturdays, and have spent 6 of the last 10 years living over 300 miles away: I still have over 15,000 points. They're really easy to accrue.

I player I can slightly understand, possibly 5 loyalty points
People living abroad are choosing to live abroad mostly earning more money than they would do in the UK
to suggest that you give them loyalty points for watching in a bar whilst us poor fookers at away games have got to pay £30 for a match ticketl plus pay travel to get there Youre fooking mad
Lets give loyalty points to those that stay in the pub just around the corner from the Lane when United are at home and the game is on Sky I mean they are contibuting to the Landlord being able to afford the Sky subscription by buying beer

They should give loyalty points for money spent in the Club shop. In my eyes, that’s a sign of the most dedicated Blade, he who spends the most of their hard-earned money on the Club. It could be the difference between making that promotion-grabbing signing or not.

Can’t afford to spend much in the Club shop? Should have done better in school then.

And I'll have my 350 round trip from Maidenhead points please, including double points for midweek games.

And some others will want even more travel points, and so they should.
