Should we win our next 2 league games v Carlise and Preston, we will equal the club record for consectutive wins in the league, thus setting us nicely to beat the record in the 125th anniversary game.
Incidentally, I am not entirely sure what the record is for consecutive league and cup wins is. In Aug and Sept 2005 we won 8 league games on the trot and interspersed with those beat Boston and Shrewsbury in the League Cup. However, the latter win was on pens, which I don't count (see a previous argument on here).
If you do count that, that is 10 league and cup wins in a row. Other than that, have we ever done better than 8?
