Reading that, I'll give Che while Jan

Can already hear the "we couldn't turn down the offer, it will be reinvested in the team, no we're not saying how much it actually was though" speech in the dying hours of the JTW

Is that reporter drunk? Che Adams to push Harry Kane for a starting spot at spurs. If Pochettinho watched the game he won't be all that interested yet.

Isn't that the same site that spawned the maxter?

Coincidently the same site as the hammond to forest story

As sauces go it's cold chilly on a week old kebab

It's not a rumour tho with no source. It's a suggestion by the writer

Point I'm making is that peeps are starting to sit up and take notice, which of course is inevitable if a young player begins to make his mark as is the case

Won't be long before the vultures are circling

Great, except for the fact that in most of the games I've seen him play, he hasn't been in 'excellent form'.
He's been quite average in fact, looking very raw...

What he does have in his favour however, as we have all seen, is strength, a bit of pace and the ability to score goals from very little...and that's always going to attract bigger teams...

The board sell all our better players. Its basically inevitable Adams will be sold at some point.

It's just some dippy Spurs fan saying he wants his club to buy the player who nearly embarrassed them in the cup last year.

The bellend's comparing him with Dele Alli, who had two seasons at Franchise as a first-teamer before being ready to step-up for Spurs this year.

Can't see anyone getting him in January, but come the summer if / when we are still in League one then he's a cert to be on his way.

If anyone goes in Jan it will be Done.

Although the former Ilkestone man may not be ready to play as prominent a role as they have given Alli, he could push Kane for a starting place and provide cover for the front-man in cup competitions.

Hahahahahahaha whoever wrote that must be on drugs, what a load of bollocks.

Spurs will let us keep him until the end of the season once we get the initial fee of five beans

When your in league one you can't hang on to your better players. The difference is that other clubs make the big boys pay for potential or tell them where to go whereas we accept the first offer or quibble for a month over a poxy 100k

Absolute sickener to start reading articles like the one in the link, especially as he's only been here 5 minutes

Young promising player plays well, gets worthy recognition from those that look outside the Premier League. I'm struggling to see why this is a bad thing – if any young player of ours plays well, extra attention is to be expected. The alternative is he plays averagely, doesn't contribute as much, and slips appropriately under the radar. I'd much rather he attract this sort of attention thanks – it sort of suggests we have a good player.

Exactly....................for 5 mins

It'd be a move that has 'benchwarmer' written all over it.
Adams shows intermittent flashes of brilliance in the 3rd division but that won't cut it in a side aspiring to reach the top 6 of the Premiership. He's nowhere near ready to make that transition yet.

Of course if an offer does come in he'll snap their hand off. An inflated wage packet and a chance to move to the bright lights of London won't be passed up by a 19 year old who was playing non-league football last year, and even if the board, with the best of intentions, try to keep him, he'll be off.

Apparently Adams had the chance to join Newcastle before he came here. I think there was a Star article about this.

One reason he came here was a chance at regular first team football.

His overall performance on Satdi was not great, WHF Jr Sr had him pegged as a defensive liability.

But he scored two goals, and very nearly got three.

If a Division 1 team offers silly money and he wants to leave then it'd be a real shame but his overall game is nowhere near Division 1 standard. Yet.

I almost said to my Spurs supporting mate on Sunday that Spurs will be in for Che soon. I decided not to tempt fate.

Let's face it, any kid in L1 that looks exciting is going to attract attention. He was the only L1 player in a list of six hottest prospects in the football league on the Sky website pre-season.

Hopefully he'll stay with us until some bigger team wants him as a first choice, or at least a squad player who'll get opportunities.

One of the reasons we need to get out of division three is to put a stop to the inevitable sale of our best players.

HH
It might not be able to stop it fullstop but it will certainly help because if we'd have managed to get promotion last season we would still have had that bag of wank and inconsistent Jamie Murphy here ;)

We'll likely sell and I wouldn't blame him if he does go to spurs, you only have to play 3 games for them and you'll get called up to the England first team :P.

While the article is tosh if a prem or champ club comes calling there is nothing that we can do to keep him if he wants to go.
We are in division 3 and while we are here we will always sell our better players - only when we are top end championship or above (and we will be soon make no mistake) will we be in a position to convince our better players to stay.

The only way we can keep our better players is for us to get out of this league pretty damn fast and I mean this season! Whether Done, Beard and Che are here come February remains to be seen but I do fear if we are not running away with it by then then I fear the worst.

Brayford and Done would be the first names on the team sheet for me so here's hoping we still have them Next August in the Championship. Both are championship players to build a team from.

If Adkins lasts the course and we dont do anything daft like giving him the sack , we will become more and more a selling club ( a bit like Southampton ) , just to survive , balance the books and try and progress . This will become worst and a backward step if we dont get out of league 1 this season , as we will not be in full control of our own destiny.

The young lad Che will eventually go , depending upon which league we are in and what offer is made . Hopefully we have put into his contract a figure as a release clause trigger and a percentage sell on.

This season or next season the bottom premiership club recieves £100m , so even a relegated club going into the championship could afford to take a risk on a young player, even if he fails and doesn't make the first team.

Reality is we are now a established league 1 , selling club . Were we will win with Adkins , when a player is sold , a ready replacement of equal talent , will be at the club , to take his place . This usually is a 5 year plan , and you have to be succesful for it to work . Unfortunatley we dont give managers time , but this time we have to.
