Nice and (relatively) succint for people who didn't watch it and aint got the attention span to read a long review.

Just pointing out the obvious really for people who did watch it but

- Ndiaye unreal again, way too good for the championship. Great composure for the goal, could easily have had 2 more

- Ahmedhodzic, another whose premier league standard is just obvious. Pure class. Great technique for the volley and the header. Gets forward at every opportunity.

- Egan, worth mentioning his 2 lacklustre passes/clearances, where a better team would have made us pay. Sublime tackle from RND to bail Egan out and deny a certain goal for them which would've made it 1-1.

- All rounder performance from McBurnie. Did everything right, the goal, the hold up play, wanting the ball anywhere on the field, a few defensive headers.

- Doyle was absolutely everywhere. Could have had a goal in the first 2 minutes. Everything good from us seemed to start with him. That's how to make the shirt yours. Fleck will have a hard time replacing him if he carries on with performances like that

Special mention for McB manhandling the defender out of the way to clear the space for Anel... Watch it back, looks like something from the training ground.... fantastic.

Ndiaye missed two great chances and was not at the level he was v Blackburn. Still outstanding to gey a class goal though.

What an absolute pleasure to watch us, again, tonight.

Amidst the plaudits for the standout performances, it’s worth also flagging just how hard they’re all working for each other. We’ve def rediscovered that high energy, high press, all for one ethic that served us so well for the first few Widler years. Any mistake, and the player is working his nuts off to compensate and make good the error. Tremendous stuff.

Oh, and if Bash keeps getting these 10 minute cameos at RWB, he’ll be among our top scorers by May 😂.

Proper buzzing. Gotta stop doing g's of mandy on school nights.

Just got one question ................ are Reading shit or are we effing good?
We are good, but Paul Ince seemed to have absolutely no plan whatsoever.
  • Don’t pressure Utd. defence.
  • Let Norwood have as much time as he wants all game.
  • Don’t bother trying to rough up United at all (despite the success Luton had with it).
  • Don’t bother trying to get in behind down the wings and put in crosses (despite the success Luton had with it).
  • Do play slow, ponderous passes in front of Utd with no penetration at all for 20 minutes even when 2-0 down, getting nowhere near the penalty area never mind a shot.

It was a bizarre set up if his players were playing according to his instructions.

So Reading were not good. At all.

But we showed real quality in lots of areas. Great performances from a number of players. I’d pick out Ndiaye again who I think just gets better and better.

Wasn't able to attend tonight due to travel issues but sounded like a real class performance from what was said on sky sports news.

I think they tried some rough stuff but that is not their style and they looked powder puff. Luton are built to be a physical side, Reading are not.

we were terrific. they chased and chased for the first 30 minutes and were then knackered. they had one breakaway in the second half and the guy who chased to ball got it.......unfortunately for Reading he was the only one.

there's always room for another scapegoat for some blades

we won 4 nowt. go top and still the whingers find some negstives
How am I whinging you utter bell. I’ve pointed something out. I’m delighted we won, I’ve expressed my delight all over this forum. Pointing out obvious things isn’t a whinge.

Another excellent home performance similar to Blackburn where every player contributed

Now we need to replicate that with away performances

I see the big guns are moving into contention the 3 relegated sides fk em

Still doing it at 4-0 up on 87 mins, sprinting to close Reading players in nothing positions of safety, to swarm and win back the ball.

A game where we were in total control, the only sniff Reading got was due to a bit of our own sloppiness.

It was such a brilliant balanced team performance again, Superb to watch.
