I am absolutely astounded by the reaction of our porcine neighbours to Fridays draw. This weekend they have completely re-written history in their own heads.Over 9 months ago they told us we couldn’t compete in the championship, this has now been erased. The lead up to the first game their arrogance was something to behold it was a case of how many they were going to get, once again this had been completely erased. If they had a full strength team they would have wiped the floor with us completely erasing the fact that we beat them with a full strength team

In the lead up to this game it was their own fans who thought we would hammer them, this has now been turned into them saying it was our fans which said we would hammer them. The game Friday was a draw which has now turned into a victory for them and bragging rights are theirs. They didn’t look to defend and their main aim was to not lose because they had one more shot than us. Sheffield Wednesday are once again the top team in Sheffield following the draw completely erasing the fact we are 12 points clear and beat them on their own patch with a full strength team. We are now crying and bitter about the result even though we are 12 points clear and beat them on their own patch.

The spin from them is brilliant I am actually looking forward to their players going back to not giving a shit following their cup final. Anyone picking them up on any of these points are accused of being bitter, it’s mental no wonder every of ser if supporters in the country laugh at them.

Apart from being 20th after the third game, they are now at their lowest position of the season. Over on Porktalk they are boasting about how far up the league they are going to finish. Some are saying 6th but 8th seems to be a popular choice. They only need Championship winning form to get there!

Currently they are on their way to getting 53 points.

Utterly deluded. If Cardiff turn them over next week, it will make very amusing reading.

The thing I like is how they think it’s only a matter of time before they’re back above us because of their “class” and it won’t last for us because of this “class”.

Form (ours) is only temporary.

The fuckwits can’t see that it’s always chopped and changed, no club has ever dominated the other in Sheffield for any meaningful period of time. But they think every time they’re above is in the league it proves something, but the other way around it won’t last because of their “class’

It’s not like Forest and County, or Bristol City and Rovers for example. No disrespect intended to either of those clubs.

Theirs nothing between the clubs in terms of support or achievements in Sheffield.

In fact support wise I believe United have not only caught up the pigs but overtaken them. Our hardcore loyal support is and has always been greater than theirs IMO. They rely on the ‘once a season big game’ glory hunters to boost their average.

That and the bigger stadium, which thankfully and rightfully is coming to an end as it’s not fit for purpose.

In fact stadium wise it’s not even a contest, the facilities and aesthetics of Bramall Lane blind the Swill.

I can only go on what I red on their forums regarding atmosphere in the ground. But not just this season, rather every season they themselves complain it’s like a library. They actually still have a (awful) band in an an effort to create an atmosphere.

Compare that to the Lane with 25000 in it, no contest. I genuinely believe the reason they can’t generate an atmosphere at the Swill is because they’re surrounded by something like 15000 empty seats every match.

Their ground is too big for them simple as.

Talking to a neutral last night who'd watched the match, lived in sheffield 20 years and knows the game, even he hates them, for they twist the truth, exaggerate, and generally bang on about how good they think they are, so glad my Dad took us to the Lane long long ago and me and our kid became Blades!

It's pretty crazy. I don't have many owl mates, but the one I speak to the most is quiet, easy to get along with and generally normal in all other walks of life.

But when it comes to Wednesday, he'll come out with some absolutely bewildering stuff that he 100% believes.

The latest was when they were manageress. He suggested that they should go for Lee Johnson.

Of course, I told him they'd have no chance of landing him at this point.

He argued that it'd be more or less a sure thing, as Wednesday have a lot more potential than Bristol City. He said they'd only have to offer it him and he'd come, in the same way Eddie Howe would jump at the chance if Liverpool came calling.

Then the subject changes and he becomes a normal human being. It's incredible.
