That there have not been many different winners in a league means fuck all. By that rationale the Bundesliga between 2012 and 2023 was the worst league in the world. It's pretty simple - most fans overrate their own league, and underrate all others, particularly here when it can be used as a stick to beat a new signing with before he's kicked a ball from those who'd have preferred us to sign tried and tested John Smith from Coventry

Drop the two Manchester clubs into the championship, and they will win most games, but they wouldn't have to be good to do so. Same in Scotland one of the Edinburgh clubs might have a decent season or maybe Aberdeen otherwise the rest are shite
