It's an odd signing in the sense that he's done nothing as a professional on the pitch to suggest he's worth anything, beyond the ability to register him as a homegrown player. Half a season in League 1 and 2, and a season where he looked poor in the Premier League.

At least Brewster actually looked decent in the Championship.

Yes he was poor last season thats why he was their player of the season and supporters player of the season!!!!

His costly purchase seems to be one made out reputation rather than anyone actually studying him...ditto...Foderingham and I assume Verrips.
The bottom line is that Ramsdale isn't good enough and will need replacing if we intend to make a promotion challenge next season....

Darren Ward is the goalkeeping coach. If I can remember rightly Henderson spoke highly of him and said he'd learned a lot off him.

Ramsdale probably is a better shot stopper than Blackman but it's a long time since I've seen a keeper so commanding of his box as Blackman. I can't help but feel having a 6ft7 goalkeeper who claims everything would really help us at the minute owing to the number of set piece and headed goals we concede.

Verrips is massive at the side of Ramsdale and let's not forget is only 18 months older. He should be banging on Wilder's door saying why aren't I playing. Ramsdale drops a clanger in every match and is yet to keep a clean sheet this season. If Ramsdale has been singed for the long term then its time to take a long term view and get him out of the firing line for a few weeks. He's now had long enough to find some confidence has failed to do so.
 
It would be interesting to see how Ramsdale did with Mousset's goal yesterday ... Its from more or less the same distance out as the one he conceded but its right in the top corner however their keeper got a hand to it and saved it but for an unlucky deflection ... I imagine Ramsdale would have been nowhere near it
 
Ramsdale is like pickford, good shot stopper but cant to nothing against top corner shots with their little t-rex arms. however ramsdale dives about 5 years after the shot

He is better at reading the game than Henderson from a sweeper point of view but not as agile; kicking for both is similar. He's what, 21-years old, he can only improve but lets get off his back as there is no need.

We spent over 10 million for a keeper that sort of fee for a keeper should get you a competent goal keeper

Thank God we didn't sign Kiko Casilla, 3 times Champions League winner,
after his display for Leeds today. We would have been in meltdown then!
 
If you buy a young keeper where you are potential there, then you've really got to play him to build up that experience.

Not the route I would have personally fine down. I would have gone for Neil Etheridge. He's experienced, but still a good age for keepers and also had a decent season at this level when Cardiff were last here.

He went for 2m to Birmingham in the summer. To me, that would have given far more leeway in terms of squad building.

That really worried me, you could see he was struggling. Hoped he would be subbed as I could just see a major clanger coming.

If these were the old days someone like Billy whitehurst would take the lad for 4 pints of Guinness before the game and hed be way better for it... The lad needs to relax he's a nervous wreck
