How on earth was that a penalty. Watch the slowmo replay if Ramsdale had clipped the guys lower leg it never moves at all. If he had caught it the leg would have not moved smoothly through the frames there would have been a slight jerk and there is absolutely nothing. Saying nowt about the guy realising the ball is going nowhere so decides to dive 2 steps afterwards.

The shot of the ref going "oh yes it was definitely a penalty" something underhand there.

In fact just watched it frame by frame the guy takes 2 steps, yes 2 steps, then his left leg buckles and he goes down. Yet it was his right leg that supposedly got clipped. He doesnt even hold his right leg in agony or anything just looks back at the ref.

That has to be one of the worst decisions in this century.

If a centre half takes the long route to the ball to clear it on his stronger foot, and completely misses everything without even getting a tackle in, you're giving him pelters.

Obviously I'm not blaming him for the penalty, it wasn't one and the defender has give him a right hospital ball. But that's shocking defending from Rammers I'm afraid. Speaking as a defender myself you cannot do that as the last man (or any man to be honest).

Ramsdale couldn't handle it as it was a backpass. He's slow of his line though the suggestion above that he should have cleared it into the stand with his left foot is bewildering - why let it come across his body to clear it with his weaker foot?

That said, that was a particularly special decision straight out of the Rob Styles/Steven Gerrard book.
