Some of our fans bring shame on our good name. What riles me is the way some people think we should just walk the league. Its laughable that such an inexact science as football attracts people who think promotion is just something you do. Also that after less than 10 games some people obviously know where we are going to finish. Thus far from what I can see a couple of back to back wins would stick us at around 2 points per game as an average. Thats enough to get promotion if maintained. Certainly enough to be there or there abouts. You really cannot ask any more than that. Well thats what I would think.

Then there are those who go on about not being allowed to criticise. Not true, we all have critisisms of some sort or another. I don't like the way we play, I don't like the fact we are stripped bare up front without Ward (why did we let Webber go?), I don't like the lack of cover at the back and I don't like how we play one up top. However, I know Blackwell knows far better than I ever have or will. He wouldn't have been my choice of manager but I also think the Chairman does his very best to get the best man in for the job. Also, and credit to him he doesn't fire managers for fun. If some of our fans were in charge we would be sacking managers on a weekly basis.

Finally I don't like the fact that Killer isn't getting a new contract but I am sure that people aren't sat on their arses trying not to sign him.

Fact remains that we don't actually know what is going on at the club. We aren't there on a daily basis (apart from Beighton of course) so we don't know what is going on and who we are trying to sign.

Whoever thinks we should be walking this league is deluding themselves and I thought our supporters were better than that. Those that go on P & G are possibly the biggest morons I have ever heard these days. It's a shame because it should be an excellent place to air your constructive views rather than a shouting match to tell everyone how shit we are.

Oh and the last transfer window for me was the best one we have had for a while. Perhaps we should sit back and see how the team works together and wait before passing an instant judgement on how terrible we are, because its always the negative ones who have already made their minds up that we are going to be shit. Me? I haven't got a clue whether we will get promoted or not, but we have set ourselves out as difficult to beat and are in the top 6 so far. Hardly the worst position to be in.

Objective critisism is a good thing. There are many things to complain about, but what are the solutions. I read things like "Bunn is shit" "Henderson is a Donkey" blah, bloody blah. That is critisism in itself but its hardly bringing about a positive solution to the problem is it?

Go ahead, moan your arse off. Best piece of advice I was ever given was control the controlable aspects of your life and leave the rest alone. I can control my own life, I can control what I do. I can't control who United play up top or their league position. I can voice what I think the problems are and what I feel the solutions are. Great but what actually changes by doing it?

Finally, if you moan like a moron then yes, you are a moron. If you say someone is shit, then what do you expect.

Put it this way, if some passer by off the street came into your work, watched you for 45 minutes at whatever you do and said "your shit, I could do a better job" how would you react? You would think they are a moron right?

If however they came in and said "I think you could do this differently by doing X, Y and Z" at least you have something to think about.

Fact is, complaining it great. Makes us feel better. But until you come up with a solution to the complaint then no one thinks you are anything other than an empty head making a shedload of noise. Add your own solution and perhaps people will listen. They may not agree, but they will listen to you. Isn't that what people want at the end of the day? To be heard.

I guess the reason you're always right is that you ignore what people actually say and fill it in with your own extreme assumptions. I feel sorry for those who try to treat you are a serious debater when you make so little effort. UTB!

I have to agree with the radio presenters.
I get fed up with listening to the same old people wingeing like mad.
The way they go on you would think that the Samaritans are on overtime every time United lose.

The fact is that we don't have a right to win every game and we will lose some games.
As long as it doesn't turn into a losing streak I can put up with that as everyone has an off day.

I believe that it is you that is missing the point!
I am not moaning for moanings sake I would like to think that I have a valied point as regards the way that we play yet I can't control the way we play Blackwell determines that aspect but
Please can you explain why a United side can play football with the style and panache they displayed against Preston in the semifinals last year destroying a good CCC side in the bargain yet continue to resort to type when faced with lesser teams or reduced numbers ie Saturday?
As for Henderson everyone is entitled to their opinion and I am sure if I shouted from the rooftops that Henderson is the best striker in the division I would be locked up . Fact Henderson has not performed to the level of his price tag and unfortunately it is my belief that he is unable to match his 'value' because he does not possess the necessary skill to do so - that is not moaning it is stating my opinion and many others on this board.

Fiery has a point. I think everybody has made good points on here but those Radio Sheffield presenters are tossers. Unless I'm mistaken they're all in their 20s or early 30s, very coy (understandably) about their individual club loyalties and adopt a very haughty, condescending superior attititude to callers. Without callers they wouldn't have a programme. Last night a chap in his 70s phoned in to criticise the team and the presenter treated him very badly.

The bit that sickens me is the grovelling obsequious way they speak to managers and players when inteviewing them. The presenters clearly look down their noses at fans but turn all sheepish and hand wringing to the professionals you can almost sense them touching their forelock

I massively disagree, living in Leeds I can tell you Radio Sheffield's coverage and presentation is an absolute country mile ahead of anything else up this neck of the woods.

And I think I'd get fed up listening to miserable sods whinging constantly over and over again, I get fed up with it enough on here. It's why I left Sheffield in the first place!!!

Horses for courses - we all would like to see fluent passing football but we realise with Monty and Quinn the hub of the midfield this is very unlikely to happen but when we keep launching it for Henderson to knock down with little or no end result and we struggle to break down lesser quality sides with only ten men( eg Swansea, Nottm Forest, Blackpool, Scunthorpe, etc etc) then do we not have a right to voice our concerns
