Radio Sheffield Not Welcome

I don't particularly like the guy but Adrian Durham on TalkSport is very opinionated, even has Twitter debates with players (i.e. Joey Barton) if they disagree with what he says but at least he has an opinion and sticks to it.

Being opinionated is one thing, but Durham just comes out with the most outlandish point of view every evening just to get people to phone or text. I can't imagine he actually believes anything he's saying but they must make money out of the sheer volume of people who phone or text to tell him he's talking rubbish.

They are at times bias towards our neighbours, however, fans like to know whats going on, this isn't helping!

Agreed there just isn't enough media outlets covering this type of story these days.
Hang on...........

I don't believe I've heard Radio Sheffield in over ten years. And I've kept up with what's happening at the club.

Personally, I don't have anything against the sports coverage on Radio Sheffield. A lot of the time they do a good job to make a half decent show considering some of the knuckle draggers that ring up.

In order for SUFC/Somebody to be pissed off enough to give them the shoulder they must have been expressly asked to keep whatever it is they were told/found out to themselves.

The fact you get longer interviews with Dave Jones is probably down to the fact it takes him twice as long to say just as much given his monotonous, mono toned, droney voice. And they probably only get interviews with Wendy players because they're open to doing it - whether that's a club policy decision or the players own choice?
I am glad they were given the cold shoulder they have treated the club as second class citizens for years. If they were professional they would be saying to the interviewer we have a x minute clip if you are not done we will edit it.

I think it's worse than that. I'm quite sure they deliberately allocate significantly more time to Pigterviews than to us. The djbaldken research is pretty compelling. I hope he sends it to both RS and SUFC press office. We'll see then what both are made of.

Durham is unbelievably tedious. I stopped listening to him and retard Goffy a long time ago.

If the journalists at Radio Sheffield and The Star were anything more than tuppenny-ha'penny hacks then they wouldn't be working in local news, would they? It's like complaining that your morning bus driver is a much worse river than Sebastian Vettel - if he was any good at driving then he wouldn't be taking you to work in the morning, he'd be beating off fit birds with a shitty stick on his yacht in Monaco.

James Shield, Rob Walker, Seth Ramsbottom and the rest of them are provincial hacks doing a provincial hack's job. No more, and no less. To expect more than mediocrity is ridiculous. Listen to them or read them by all means, but don't complain that your Aldi journalist does an Aldi job.

To be fair to Seth, he went freelance and is now getting some pretty decent gigs on 5Live and BBC World Service.

I never had a problem with Seth ,but his knowledge of football wasn't great as it wasn't his first love.

I pick up the occasional bit of Radio Humbeside sports stuff when back and forth to Grimy and ofter ponder the stange quirk of fate that sees David Burns with an audience of dozens for Grimsby v Ebbsfleet whils the relative behemoth of Radio Sheffield is stuck with a revolving door's worth of wallopers full of their own self importance.
