Radio Sheffield managers special

Caught 45 minutes, just listening to the last 15 now. Wilder & Warne were great. Stendel didn't appear to have any idea what he was being asked.

He seems a decent bloke, genuine. But he struggles a bit with the English language. And he’s German, so humour, quick wit and repartee don’t come natural to him. Still, compared to that Dutch Dwarf they had at S6 he’s an eloquent comic genius! 😀

I think back to how Montgomery wasn’t even Championship standard but in the PL he actually did an excellent job at nullifying teams.
He could definitely mark players much better technically than him out of the game and that was a huge attribute for us. He'd have been picked up by a smart manager without many resources at his disposal but that he wasn't shows how fixated football is about some things but not others.

Would you really be disappointed?

He’s been with the club for a couple of seasons now and he’s played a decent part of the preseason games.

We picked him up as a player with attributes but needed work.

Wilder has proven that he knows what he’s doing and gained 2 promotions in 3 years.

We’ve spent £20-25m on a good range of players this summer, the whole squad looks fit and raring to go. We’ve brought pace, trickery, skill and athleticism in to blend alongside some already cracking players...

And seeing Lundstram start would disappoint you?

Personally I’d be extremely chuffed for him as it means that he’s seen as a highly regarded player in the best squad of my 42 years.
I would be chuffed for him as well, I suppose it's because we are bringing in some attractive flair players with pace, lunny would be taking one of there places, and yes I do realise a team is made up of different sorts of skill and ability, I am not attacking him, I would support him of course I would but he's not a player, from what I've seen, which obviously isn't a lot that excites me, sorry.

It’s not about liking or disliking, it’s about having the best performing players playing.

Wilder and Knill have access to so much in game data, they know exactly who’s done what.
The only way Lundstrum will start a game is either due to injuries, tactical reasons or.......it could be that he’s playing really well for the team.
I cannot disagree with that sheff

Think Lunny is miles off PL standard.
You might be right, but so might many of the rest of the squad... but the point is that when that first line up is announced it won’t have been cobbled together and it hopefully won’t be an 11 which is selected because of injuries/ illness.

It’ll be the best side that Wilder/ Knill and the back room believe can go and get a result at Bournemouth.

And we know that every single player wants to play and give their all.

I get that he’s not a fashionable player and he’s unlikely to be a game changer in the sense that Duffy or Billy have done over the years.

But I think he’s as much a part of the squad as Robinson, Mousset, Ravel or Freeman. He’ll do the graft so that they can get on the ball.

I’m not sure Lundstram will actually start at Bournemouth, but I wouldn’t bet against it either.

Dyslexic sign designer who went for alphabetical order, but got his “U” and “W” the wrong way round.

Also, have Chesterfield dropped so far that even Radio Sheffield have disowned them?
Sheridan had an interview to attend ???

Actually a decent bunch all round. Chesterfield really fell off the map altogether.

Manager's special? Think we will need another manager for the next one according to these 'experts'

Shame there wasn't a seperate catergory for 'fattest clueless Scottish pundit', as it would have been a tight call.

Nicol would definitely have won the 'Who forget their own jacket and had to borrow another badly fitting one' prediction though.

The usual clueless lazy pundit wanketry.

Same owd same owd. They may be right then they may be wrong but I bet anyone could have come up with that drivel.

Here's mine FWIW

1. Champions - Man City
2. Top Scorer - Kane
3. Relegation - Norwich, Newcastle and Brighton
4. Best Player - Ravel Morrison :p
5. Sack Race - Stevie Bruised

Kin easy this prediction lark ;)

Honestly why do they pay idiots like that for unresearched utter bollox.

1. Champions - Man City
2. Top Scorer - Aguero
3. Relegation - Brighton
4. Best Player - Ravel Morrison - out of the box but not unthinkable.
5. Sack Race - Graham Potter (Brighton) Farke and Wilder are 2 of the safest jobs in the Prem.

Have only just listened back to this, I can't believe that warne said if he could have any player from the local clubs he'd pick Barry banana!
No wonder they got relegated! :-)
