Children will able to watch selected FA Cup third round matches for only £1 as part of the Football Association's newly announced 'One FA Cup' promotion.
Adults buying full-price tickets for the games at Blackburn, Sunderland, Plymouth, Huddersfield, Bolton and Wolves can take a child along for £1.

"The third round of the FA Cup has a unique place in the calendar," said FA chief executive Brian Barwick.

"We want to give families the chance to experience the magic of the Cup live."

The FA is funding the initiative, which covers both home and away fans, and has chosen a geographical spread of matches that also feature sides from various levels.

The third round of the tournament takes place on the weekend of 5-6 January, with 64 teams competing.

The games selected are Blackburn v Coventry, Plymouth v Hull, Bolton v Sheffield United, Sunderland v Wigan, Huddersfield v Birmingham and Wolves v Cambridge.

Good idea finally from the FA, the cup has been losing its magic over the last decade.

Its sad when the last winner of the FA Cup outside the top 4 I believe was Everton in 95? Even worse when the top 4 apparently put out their youth teams.

So a good initiative from the FA to try and get the fans back to this prestigious cup, and also well done for it being a Blades game.

Kids ticket anyone? ;)

Kids ticket anyone? ;)

If I was going I could ;) Except as it's linked to my loyalty points with my DOB i don't think I'd get away with it!

Excellent idea though, about time the FA did something about it - and glad it's not just "crap" games neither, there's games there that will have some excitement involved - can you imagine kids sitting through us vs Swansea last year? They'd never want to go again!

Good offer:) Means there is more money spare for beer!

Let's get a big forum outing there people.

we have an initial 2,500 tickets and a further 2,500 tickets are available upon request. Imagine the atmosphere 5,000 blades singing along

Where would you all sit for the forum outing, you all have different preferences, how could you decide ha ha, mind you, they only usually open Valad and Family don’t the
