He was doing that last week, second half against Preston. We had a good view (row 12, Bill Shankly kop), and it's probably the first time I saw him imposing his presence on defenders. No idea if he had a row with his missus the night before, or what it was, but he was jostling and pushing them around when corners and free kicks were about to come into the box. He had a face like thunder at times, one lad had hold of the back of his shirt and it was just like holding the reins of a bolting horse, he was just dragged along.

I don't like being critical of players if they are giving it there all (and I am guilty of having a go at Scougall at times), but if Higdon turned up like that every week, doing the exact same thing, I would be happy. It can't be easy, no matter how mentally tough we think we are, when a section of 19,000 fans actual cheer when you are taken off in a home game.

On a lighter note, looks like even the toffs at the Beeb sat up and took notice the other night!

Well, we differ. I rely on Deadbat's reports to cross refer with two or three phone calls I make usually on a Sunday to people who have been to the game and are ST/life-long attendees. It's usually a dead-match of accounts.

We all talk drivel, in other's opinions. It's what makes us football supporters.
