Right....

We can go on forever about the past (just seen the Mick Jones sale come up again!) but the only way is forward.

McCabe needs to make decisions about the club.

Does he still want it? Who will be the next manager?

Whatever they are we need decisions now....not in a few weeks time.

Whoever is in charge needs time to get rid and bring in whoever he can.

Tick tock....

Les Ferdinand to be announced this week.

Whoever comes in will have a poisoned chalice, no money, good young players who will be sold. we need a miracle and some lucky Paddy Madden-esque signings and no injuries.

and I cant see why McCabe still wants Utd.

Quick decisions gave us Blackwell, Adams and Morgan to name but a few! How about sitting down and having a think about it this time?
By all accounts he was thinking about Robson for a while! So....

We could do the same as a wank F1 team and give a ride to the first tosser to arrive who is willing to invest a few quid.

Could you just name the good young players, please? I shall stop reading the moment you mention Ironside. You will though, won't you?

McCabe has no option but to stay at United. As ever, those who are shouting for him to go need to tell us how that will happen and who is queueing up to replace him. They also need to bring in the money to replace McCabe's, because, like it or not, our trading income does not begin to meet our expenditure. Not a popular view I know, but it's the unwelcome truth.

The first decision is the release list.

I reckon we need to release about 15.

Unfortunately I think Morgs is too close to the players.

We need to do a "Charlton" with releases and then appoint a good manager to build a new squad.

Someone who can pass, someone with pace and trickery who can cross a ball, two goalscorers and two full backs to start with please.

Nothing good happens whilst the Family gets away with it.

Walk away Blades.

Long, Maguire, McFadzean I would all say are good young players. Not all players from the academy are good enough, and you are right to criticise people who just say they are for no good reason, but with the right manager couldn't those 3 all be huge assets?

Yes, I'm with you on those three. At one time I would have added Whitehouse and Harriott but the latter has disappeared without trace and maybe Whitehouse's serious injury has set him back more than we know? I still have hopes for him.

Think you could be right there.

I'm not going to write off a bloke after a handful of games with a broken squad, but his interview after today was worrying. He needs to understand that the players he lauded for this season's effort will lose him his job in no time.

If he's made uncomfortable enough then he could cut his losses, write of the debt ( sell to a derisory bid) - and then surely it is possible that a club averaging almost 20,000 could compete in England's third division without being bankrolled.

Might be unlikely, but is there any downside to making his tenure very unpleasant?

What would your ideas be to make it 'unpleasant'.

Im not having a go. Im just interested in how you think it can done?

heres a quick decision , Ive had enough , thats it, 50 years of near unadulterated misery

didnt recognise anyhing I cared about today, the only thing missing on the pitch were the deck chairs

Car Park demo's are the standard, but don't seem to be a popular suggestion. I think egotistical chairman hate the publicity - followers of your work don't rate your actions - and make it hit national news.

I'm not full of new ideas' sadly.

I dont think there would be enough support for this to be worthwhile.

I think apathy has truly set in.

I think the "vote with your feet" option is the most popular, sadly. I can't use that one.

For a team that has a million a month pumped into it from the owner the quality on the pitch was truly awful.
We have been reduced to a manager saying I thought we could nick(steal) a goal and that statement against the mighty Yeovil.

Good young players: Long, Macfadzean, McGuire, De Giralimo, even jamie murphy aint that old. as for ironside, im not convinced yet.

I appreciate what you're saying Raulers but that to me would be like seeing your oldest friend drowning and you pushing down on his head to make sure he dies....

It's not us doing the pushing.

We have a few decent players to work with as long as they don't get sold.
