Don’t normally buy drinks in the ground but did yesterday. Lager and cider. Nice frothy head which quickly settled showing the cardboard cup* only half full. Took it back, young lad says ”it’s the pumps. No mention of a top up. Manager came and apologised, top up, no problem, other than it was shite tasting as usual. Not good ones, no
Thornton on Snakebite ?Don’t normally buy drinks in the ground but did yesterday. Lager and cider. Nice frothy head which quickly settled showing the cardboard cup* only half full.
That’s one problem with paper cups - you can’t see how much a beer is in them.Don’t normally buy drinks in the ground but did yesterday. Lager and cider. Back in the local later three others in SS said the same and that they weren’t saying anything unless you complained.
Don’t know if it was the same on the Kop as l don’t talk to anyone who sits on there…….
* If those new cups hold a full pint l’m a monkeys uncle.
This is something other clubs in new grounds are encouraging more and also after full time however our facilities aren’t really up to it apart from the international bar which is good, is it still open before games to the public?Do they not sell alcoholic drinks within the ground pre game. Genuine question.
I understand it’s known as a pint of Bettis these days.Thornton on Snakebite ?
You'll be chucking Werthers at the away end if you're on that stuff. That's why he only gave you half a cup.

Rarely get one in the ground anyway because it's a faff and a rip off, didn't yesterday but my first thought with those cups is there's gonna be some half pints poured as full ones. Can't see a reason for it unless the intention is to rip people off.Don’t normally buy drinks in the ground but did yesterday. Lager and cider. Had a Neck Oil at half time and I had the same issue. Had to tell them to top it up as it wasn’t nowhere near full.I understand it’s known as a pint of Bettis these days.
Ps l don’t know if the pillar box red culottes and pink crocs wearing Neck Oil aficionados had the same problem at £6.20 a pint (now available in my local @£3.50) what was your experience?
Walked past the 1000 lunatics queuing to get in the south stand bramall lane site turnstiles at 2:50, walked straight in the shoreham street side turnstiles with no queue at all at 2:51.
In conclusion, people are idiots. And lizards.
My season ticket (Westfield Corner) didn’t work on the contactless bit - but did when I shoved it in the slot!I got stuck outside the SS turnstiles waiting for them to open until the bloke with ‘the’ key arrived.
I missed the old crew of stewards usually there - older guys one of whom was a Scot & always had plenty of chat about him.
That said, when they opened, I presented my season card with the usual first match trepidation though it seemed to be accepted quicker than I recall.
It doesn’t help when the stewards stand in front of the signs that tell people where to hold/stick their tickets. Regularly see season ticket holders shove their season card in the slot when that’s not what’s on the poster - which is tap in on the contactless bit.
“Shoreham street side”Cherry Street or are you Harry Potter?
