Which team out of next season would give us the biggest away allocation?

Fulham possibly? Gave 7k to Leeds I believe?

Wednesday? Have given us 6k+ in the past

The reason I ask is because I'm intrigued on what could be the 2017/18 equivalent to MK Dons (a) that we had quite recently.

It's a shame Blackburn went down as they give away seats at 8k which would have been the biggest in the championship. Evidence (Preston took that just this season)

Turn the OP around on this...

Which away club will we give the largest figure for tickets?
Should SUFC also take into consideration what we're asked to pay when visiting clubs come to BDTBL?

£60 a ticket at The Sty?
Anyone?

I'd start the campaign now LYDON for an empty Leppings Lane for that fixture. Massive statement that would be.

No, they'd just fill it up with their fans. I'd run a ballot so that 200 of our fans attend. This would leave them with 1000's of empty seats due to segregation and £100's of thousands of lost revenue. Lets get organised and fuck them over.

Probably Fulham. Also think Cardiff were quite accommodating when Newcastle asked for an increased allocation.

As for the Sty I have not been back since the 26/12 match and wouldn't pay anywhere near £60, however, a lot of my friends have and enjoyed some good results, most notably the 'double whammy' first season back in the top flight, so couldn't support a boycott and deprive those with more bottle than myself.

Wolves give the whole of the bottom tier along the side of the pitch don't they?

Pigs will give us about 2500 max and I suspect we will give them the same amount. Fulham have that neutral end.

I reckon most will give us around 3k max

Leeds United official ticket sales for the Fulham match was 2,951.
Fulham is an unusual ground because the stand down the side is the neutral end where they welcome home, away and neutral supporters. Clubs with big followings tend to have loads of unofficial tickets in the neutral bit.

The biggest official away following to Fulham was 4,000 by Brentford.

Regards Blackburn the biggest official away numbers at Ewood Park was 6,943 from Newcastle (that was the biggest away following in the Championship last season). We had the highest away figure taking officially 7,521 to Milton Keynes but of course we had a good 500 that showed themselves who were sat in the home end.

There were 3 other clubs that took over 6K to Ewood Park, Villa, Leeds and Preston NE.
Bet your wondering why Wednesday didn't take over 6K too. The official number was 2,752 Wednesday fans at Ewood Park but they'll tell you they must have been a good 1,000+ in the home end.

They did give that last time I was there some years ago but i'm pretty sure it doesn't hold more than 3,500 on the lower tier?

If Sunderland have a poor season they'll have thousands of empty seats in theory that could go to away fans, ditto wor Boro.

Been to swills and seen a few great victories in games we had "no chance" in..

But I'd love it if all the older blades said fuck it... we won't pay that, and boycotted, it would allow a lot of young blades who usually wouldn't have enough points to attend, maybe they'll witness another classic blades victory at the sty and get to say "I was there" like we do..

Let's let the young uns go... be on telly anyway waint it...

young blades

Unless mum and dad are willing to shell out, they probably won't be able to afford it either.

Usually I'd be first in line to watch us play the filth. Not because I enjoy the games, but I feel the need to back our boys.

But one thing I hate in life is being shafted, and I ain't getting shafted by Tunaman and his porky club. £50? Fuck off.

I think it should be a rule that away fans are charged the same for games away as the ticket price at their own club.
And to make sure clubs don't limit away numbers, there should be a ruling that clubs have to provide a minimum percentage of the ground capacity for away supporters.

You just want their concession stands smashing up and ketchup depletion to occur ;)

Lies, damned lies and statistics pedaled by imperialist pigs and capitalist swine, as only NKT has the truth

Everyone knows they always take at least 15k away midweek to London and 20k to local games. This is another anti-Massive bias to try and stop them getting back to their 'rightful' place in the Premier League, where all the other big clubs are dying for them to return.

This season will be the glorious return under their great leader who will implement a plan so wonderful that the planets and the stars will marvel at the wonder that is .....er......North Korea.

I will stick my neck out and say that the Wendy will finish lower than they have done this year. If CC stays on his throne I would say they won't even make the top 6

There, said it ! images.jpg

I won't be going so the young uns can have my seat. I won't be going to f***ing l***s either, I refuse to give either of these bastards any of my cash.

I'm not 100% sure what the ticket price ruling is now.
It always used to be "away fans MUST be charged the same as home fans in similar facilities" but I don't think that applies now

Wonder what the clubs intentions are regards home pricing, away pricing and away capacity/ segregation.
If we keep prices reasonable there will be a few clubs able to bring 3 to 4K next season.
We should have a few gates around the 30K mark with a great atmosphere.
Wonder if the club have plans for splitting the concourse areas like at the Chesterfield match.

Isn't there some ruling that away fans are allocated around 3k tickets which must be in a preferred section of the ground (to prevent such as Newcastle sticking them in the gods). In our case the BLLT fits nicely. I think the pricing strucure remains the same as now, i.e. it must be the same as like-for-like facilities for the home fans. So £50+ for the pig match folks. I think only the prem has a price cap.

The 3,000 tickets or 10% of the ground capacity (which ever is lower) away allocation I'm sure only applies to the PL.

The "like for like" pricing can be manipulated with membership schemes.
For example we could charge £30 to £40 for our home matches next season.
It would be £40 for home and away fans for the Sheffield derby (which seems a rip off)

But United could introduce a massive £10 discount for home fans with membership cards.
So for membership holders, home fans would be charged £20 to £30 next season
And we could still get away with charging away fans £30 to £40.

SY Police might welcome the idea of us charging the bigger clubs £40
Because then they'll bring 1 to 2,000 instead of 4,000 fans (which is harder to Police).
It's a shame but it seems that there's a trend where going to away matches will be a luxury and only for the rich. The police seem to want to deter away fans. Also policing costs are expensive, so is there any real increase in net income when so many police are needed for the bigger away supports.

Agree with much of what you said but the £50+ I was referring to was what it's going to cost us at the sty. Your summary of how it works backs that up. They can fucking keep it.
